Van Chevrolet Phoenix Metro Scottsdale Mislead, verbally attacked husband in front of kids, horrible experience, never buy from van, Scottsdale Arizona

We live about 30 miles away from this dealership and saw an internet ad for a SUV we were interested in. My husband called the dealership and spoke with a man who said that not only did they have that vehicle in stock he would personally check to see if it was there. He came back on the phone and said that it was being detailed and was still available. When we arrived at the dealership another man -the "head" of internet sales-told us that he had no idea who we spoke to and that the vehicle was not there. My husband and I got up and started to walk out having wasted our time and our kids time by driving up there. The salesman kept trying to get us to look at new vehicles while we were walking out. My husband calmly pointed out that we had been mislead and that our time was valuable and there would be no circumstance in which we would be interested in buying a car from this dealer.

As we were walking out to our car another salesman made a comment that was quite upsetting. He said something like this:"Oh, there's the hero leaving now. He'll show us leaving here with the family". What an a-hole!! It's frustrating enough being mislead by the dealership over the phone obviously just to try to get us in--but seriously!? I really don't appreciate people talking trash about my husband and I in front of our kids. My husband said "oh it's really nice that your are talking trash to me". The man followed us to our car and got really confrontational. He was saying "I wasn't talking about you...etc" but was standing right up in front of my husband with his voice raised. I told my kids to get straight into the car. I have to say that this was the absolute worst car experiece I have ever had.

We have been looking at cars for 2 days and have worked with people at 2 other dealerships. I can personally say that I was very pleased with how we were treated at the other 2 dealerships and I was really hurt that these men could be so rude to us in front of our 2 boys. I understand that these sales tactics must be effective but I sincerely hope that this kind of behavior doesn't last. This has left a very bad taste in my mouth! Hope this helps:)
