Verizon Wireless Overage scam San Diego Internet

I am sorry that I have to spend the time and effort to write this complaint. As a 15 year Sprint customer that decided to make the move to Verizon, I am appalled at the service that I have received. The management out of North Carolina would only provide me the name Marcus and would not resolve the simple issue. The first month with Verizon as I selected the text warning option I received a text that I have used 75% of my data. I therefore increased my data account online from 6gb to 10gb. I am now being charged $30 for going over my data. The representative communicated it was because they prorated the data due to a billing cycle. Whatever this means it is concerning. I am amazed that this needed to be escalated. 

If I made a mistake and checked the wrong box, the boxes should be changed. However, they were unable to provide the box I checked. So when I increased my data package which obviously cost me more money, I went from using 75% of my data to being over the data by more than 50% and therefore was charged a $30 overage fee. I was not able to see this until my bill was available. However, at month end billing I also have 3gb remaining unused.
