Car Scam- responded to my forsale car add, said they were from out of town and wanted to buy the car for their client! Also didn't want to see the car in person, wanted the car shipped to them! Offered to pay the shipping and payment for the car in ONe combined cheque and then I was to cahs the cheque and then send money to the shipping company. The cheque was sent to me so I cashed it at the bank. The funds appeared in my account right away but I was weary so i waited and waited. The peolpe contacting me were Victoria Walters (totwalters@hotmail.com) Mary Smith (ma_smith42@yahoo.com) and they wanted the money sent to a MR ALEX WOODS. They wanted the money for the shipping right away when the cheque was cashed. I waited for 3 weeks, after the 3 weeks the cheque did bounce and the money was taken back out of my account! If I had paid the shipping company right away I would have been out $3,950, and had to repay the bank. Don't let this happen to you! The e-mails I was sent had lots of incorrect spelling and awkward phrases, not always making sense!
