I bought a car from viking dodge for $21600.00 and when i went to sign the contract the cash price turned into $27933.00. i asked them why did the price change and they told me that it was a fee charge for the loan. i contacted the finance company and they told me that this wasnt true. im going to fight this one because no dealer is getting away with steeling over $6300.00 from me.i sent a complaint to illinois attorney generals office.and we will see what happens. going to viking dodge was the worst mistake i ever made.

Why In The Frick Did You Buy It?

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 10, 2007

Years ago, the finance guy at fiesta VW tried to add on $15 a month to our agreed upon deal. Now $15 a month doesn't sound like much but if you carry it out to 48 months it comes to $720 MORE then what we had agreed upon. Why in the hell would I give some scumbag car dealer $720 of my hard earned money? I told him nothing doing. He gets up, goes out to talk to the sales manager and comes back with "we'll split the difference, $7.50 a month". I still tell him "nothing doing, I'm not splitting jack", and get up and walk out. What the f**k is it about these car guys? Buy a tribute for my wife. They started at $27,000. After going back and forth for 45 minutes they come back with $20,400. I offered him $20,000 even. He says he can't take it. I told my wife there's no way in hell he'll let us walk for $400 on a $20k deal. He comes back and says again he can't do it. I say thank you and head out the door.

As we're getting into our vehicle, he can't run fast enough to catch us and says OK. I told my wife he probably lost his $1 bet that he could screw us for the extra $400. Why in the frick did you buy the vehicle at $27,933? I would have told them to stick the $6300 fee up their butt and walked out. The reason they did it is because you allowed them to get away with it. What's the Ill. Attorney General's office gonna do? Add your complaint to all the other complaints this dealer already has?

You deserve what you got... sorry.

I feel for you in a sense, but YOU bought the car knowing it was a $6000+ increase! I cannot for the life of me understand why these people KEEP getting screwed with these types of rip offs. When you went into the dealership, did they strip you of all common sense?
Heck, you should have just went on the internet and told someone to take this $, I have too much.

The Worst Mistake?

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 09, 2007

Let me see if I understand this....

You went in to pick up the car based on the figures contained in the original deal. When you get there, its suddenly $6500 more, right?

What did you do. you bought the car anyway! Wouldn't it have been smarter to have walked out because they treated you like a doormat?

And now you complain!

Amazing!
