Just wanted to let others know that NOT everyone anywhere in the USA can get the FREE installation as advertised. You will be asked for your information, including your credit card number for billing the "activation fee" of $49.99.

You will get a message that states "Congratulations! Your credit card has been charged $49.99 and you are now ready to schedule your free installation!" There is an 800 number to call which is for Dish Network. When you call they then advise you that a credit check has to be ran.

VMC Satellite fails to tell people this. If you do not qualify for the equipment they will not issue a refund until you return your installation certificate that they mail to you WITHIN 10 DAYS of purchase. Okay, so you return the certificate that costs 57 cents in postage and they send you a letter stating they received your certificate and will issue a refund within 30 days.

30 DAYS!! And they only refund $39.99 because $10.00 was for postage and handling which was really only 57 cents. So either way, they get $10.00 out of the deal. BUYER BEWARE!!

Dear Charles,

What was written is irrelevant, obviously there are volumes of CUSTOMERS (people who pay your salary and put food on your table) who are not happy and feel deceived and mistreated by this company.

That is the central issue here, and yes that is important, anyone who has ever worked with the public and has even a slight concept of customer service knows that the customer is the reason you have a business and the reputation of a business comes from how the customers are treated, whether you agree or disagree with them is irrelevant.
