Wal Mart Netscape Wal Mart Netscape is a big ripoff !!! Internet

Hello everyone. I picked up a walmart netscape cd in our local wal mart. I made the fatel mistake of loading it on to my pc, using my checking account number. Afterwards I had to restart my pc and everything froze, at which point I uninstalled the program. I called customer service to cancel and they said I wouldn't be charged because it was a free trail cd and that it would be taken care, because I couldn't get it to work on my pc. This was two or three years ago.

This week I found out my checking account was over drawen, and I didn't know why, so I called my bank two find out what the charge was for. Wal Mart netscape, they have been taking money from my account for about two or three years. I felt so stupid that I had never noticed before. Like everyone I shop at wal mart all the time, and had only paid attention to the word wal mart on my bank statements and not the netscape. For the past two and a half years I have had DSL why would I need a netscape account that I couldn't even use.

After finding out I called wal mart netscape on a number I got from my bank (1-888-855-0942). When I first talk to someone in billing she said I would need to call a different number to get help with my problem and gave me this number, (1-888-237-8636) to my surprise it turned out to be a gay chat line. When I called her back I was pretty upset, and she hung up on me. I called right back, and this time she changed her name on me. I told her that if I didn't get some help that I would talk to a lawyer, at this point she canceled the account. But, said there was nothing they could do, about the last two or three years of service I never used, to get my money back. Pissed off I called my bank and had a stop payment, put on my account so that they want be able to take any more of my money. They have a 888 number but there not in the U.S. there in India or somewhere.


Beware !!!... Do not give these people your credit card or checking accounts number!!!... Wal Mart Netscape is a con, with bad service!!!...
