Complaint Review: Wal-mart - Stockton California

Have receipt, The manual on their brand TV states that they will come in home to repair if under warranty.
Purchased 10/2007, TV just blew up, no power, nothing. He just wanted it fixed or purchase/replace with a new TV.
They want my 82 year old father to pick it up, (over 120 lbs) put it in his car, and drive it an hour away, said they changed their policy if below 32 inch TV (no in home visits).
Two days, no returned calls, and no email returns other than take it to a repair shop. This TV cannot be fixed and it will take more money to take it where they asked us to. The shop owner does not have the parts.
If only we had gone to a small local store, they would have stood behind their product, and actually helped my father.
BIG stores need to be STOPPED. They rip off the persons who need the discounts the most.
I still have TV's for 10 plus years. Their products last less than a year.
Sad days ahead for the elderly, and the young, who believe they are getting a deal.
