The days of returning something to a store within the warranty period are long gone when Wal-Mart came to town.

Have receipt, The manual on their brand TV states that they will come in home to repair if under warranty.

Purchased 10/2007, TV just blew up, no power, nothing. He just wanted it fixed or purchase/replace with a new TV.

They want my 82 year old father to pick it up, (over 120 lbs) put it in his car, and drive it an hour away, said they changed their policy if below 32 inch TV (no in home visits).

Two days, no returned calls, and no email returns other than take it to a repair shop. This TV cannot be fixed and it will take more money to take it where they asked us to. The shop owner does not have the parts.

If only we had gone to a small local store, they would have stood behind their product, and actually helped my father.

BIG stores need to be STOPPED. They rip off the persons who need the discounts the most.

I still have TV's for 10 plus years. Their products last less than a year.

Sad days ahead for the elderly, and the young, who believe they are getting a deal.

walmart comes through!

Walmart honored Orion's warranty and my father received his new TV.

Orion's "ILO" TV warranty's are NOT good, but Walmart managers and home office made this right for my father.

Kudos to Walmart!

Just to let you know that ORION was flaky, and does not honor their warranty, but Walmart gave my father credit, and he now owns an RCA.

Do not buy ILO brand TV's. Big praises for Walmart for helping me on this.

Kudo's to the assistant manager Steve, and to the headquarters customer service center for their help.

Walmart TV fraud. Orion, walmarts "ilo brand" does NOT honor warranty

AUTHOR: Elizabeth - (U.S.A.)

Walmart's brand is ILO aka Orion. I paid 50.00 to find out that the TV cannot be repaired. Orion says they ONLY repair do not replace, no credit, nothing.

Walmart is the biggest RIP OFF ever.

Wal-mart brand?

Normally you can't change the terms of a warranty after purchase, so I would fight up the food chain on that one.

However, the small stores are going to give you higher prices with about the same service when it comes to electronics. The margins have gotten so tight that the small store would have to eat the cost of returns and return shipping etc. for repairs that they probably have a more stringent return policy than Wal-Mart does! There are many things a small store would be better at, and those are returning in force. But not for electronics.
