WAMU/ Providian Raised interest rate from 15.99 to 26.01% without just cause Dalls Texas

I received my bill and saw WAMU raised my interest rate. When I called them they said they did it (raised it) and sent me a notice back in March that I could close the account and reopen at the original rate. They left no explanation why. I the spoke to a supervisor named Mel in Cebu, Philippines. She said that it was true (What I had just said to her) that WAMU can raise the rate to 99%, as long as they send a notice that they are raising it, they can do this, without cause. She also could not disclose to me the reason in the interest of "privacy". I think the correct term is really "Piracy". Anybody want to start a class action?
