My Wayne County Friend of the Court case shows an arrearage for an amount exceeding $99,800.00. These arrearages come from $90. per week payments for two children now ages 18 and 19.

I am the mother of these kids and having recently lost my job, we lost our home and are now staying with a friend. Sure could use some of that support.

This dead beat dad has rarely worked for the last 20 years, and somehow has convinced the FOC that he stays out of jail by making an attempt to pay $5.00 per week. This is an amount smaller than the late fees he is charged with. He also had the audacity to laugh about it all to people, in front of me and my kids, at a common friends house. I didn't get the joke and neither did anyone else.

Who really is Wayne County FOC a friend to. Sure as hell not me.

MAYNOT help now but you may find some peace in this!

AUTHOR: Eagle - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 09, 2008

This may not help you now, but you may find some peace in what I'm about to say.

If he has rarely worked in the last 20 years and more than likely he is doing this to keep paying chils support, there is good news! He's laughing now for screing his kids but just remember, if he continues this lack of employment until he reaches the age of retirement he WILL NOT see a dime of Social Security. You either have to work to recieve it OR someone will have to be dumb enough to marry a deadbeat like that and stay married to him for at least 10 years that I know of maybe mistaken on the number of years, and that person will have HAD to work in order for your ex to be entitled to her benefits.

SO, even though it is going to help your financial situation NOW, and he is laughing about screwinghis kids over, YOU THREE will have the last laugh. If he doesn't work, how does he live, friends, relatives, etc.. if so they will eventually get sick of supporting him and he will be left laying on the sidewalk like the piece of S#$T he sounds like.

ALSO, the other lady is right, at 18 and 19, these children should be out working and helping support themselves. There is always public transit, subway, etc..as a form of transportation to work until they can save up for a car. I'm sorry for your situation, I really am because I'm living with my mother and my two children on $600 disbility and no child support, although I'm working on that, things are realy tight and I wouldn't be surviving if it wasn't for my mother, but when my third child, the oldest turned 18 and was done with school she HAD to get out and get a job and pay her own part of the bills. If you don't force them now, they may grow older thinking their ride in this life is free and that is not going to help you or them.

Ok, I have to ask

AUTHOR: Lori - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 28, 2007

Your post seems to indicate that you've not received child support for the entire time that you've been divorce, and a little simple math means that $90per week X 52 weeks X 18 years, is in excess of $84000, adding late fees and interest, I can see the $100k amount. (The reason that I spent the time to detail it out is because I have a problem with a dad owing $75000 in 3 years for 1 or 2 children. It's ridiculous to have child support set that high.)

Now you've said that you lost your job, and that you and your children are now homeless. These kids are 18 and 19 years old, why aren't they out there working and helping to support the household? If you've never received child support, things may have always been tight, and your children are NOT helping? I'm sorry, but if they were 14/15 years old, I'd understand, but at 18 and 19 I have little sympathy for being homeless if no one is helping to pay the bills. Even three minimum wage jobs, bringing home $180 per week gives you an approximate income of over $2100 per month!

Instead of waiting for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (which you'll probably never see), start looking forward and working together as a family to get ahead. It's sad when dad can't or won't help but sometimes it's just better to work around it than to sit and HOPE that you'll collect.
