I signed up for the Weight Watchers Monthly Pass program for a fee of $39.95.
They charged me the expected $39.95 and then they turned around and charged me AGAIN.... another $39.95, just ten days later!
When I asked them to reverse that charge and cancel my subscription, I only get a 'canned' impersonal response stating.... Our records indicate that you have already been billed for your next subscription month , blah, blah, blah...
They refuse to respond specifically to my request for charge-back/reversal of the credit card charge. Repeating... Our records indicate that you have already been billed for your next subscription month , blah, blah, blah...
Furthermore, they state that for a refund, you have to mail them a card to a P.O. Box accross the country within 7 days. What kind of way to do business is this? Yeah right, good luck getting that card to them in time. They have this scheme down pat.
The fact that you cannot find a single telephone number for ANYONE on their website and their emails are all masked as to not reveal anyone's actual contact information or full name speaks volumes for this company.
I think anytime you decide to do business with a company over the web, FIRST make sure that you have the ability to pick up the phone and actually speak to someone or find a PHYSICAL address, not just a P.O.Box.
Be warned. Weight Watchers preasures you to sign up for monthly billing insisting that you put a credit card on file so they can double charge you. It does not matter what kind of bs answer that provide... the bottom line is this.
Charged $39.95 on November 13th. Charged $39.95 on November 23rd.
That's nearly $80. for one month of Weight Watchers. My advice to anyone wanting the information? Show up, pick up the materials, sit in on one meeting and NEVER SIGN UP. Anyway... once you get the materials and see what the diet is... what the heck do you need to keep paying this fools for? You can find numerous free websites that will help you track/count calories and nutrition.
Anyone thinking of signing up for Weight Watchers? SAVE YOUR MONEY! Reply here with your contact information and I'll send you everything I paid nearly $80. for ABSOLUTLEY FREE!!! I'm making copies of everything as I type this.
Best of luck and JUST SO NO TO WEIGHT WATCHERS.

Monthly Pass Voucher clearly states you will be billed for the next month within 15 days

When you purchased your pass, yes--you payed for the first month immediatley. However, the voucher you recieved which you signed clearly states that you will be billed for the next month within 15 days of activation. This is to ensure that you recieve your next month's pass in the mail in time to show the receptionists before the first month's pass expires. When you recieved your voucher, you were told that you had 7 days to activate the pass. If you waited the full 7 days and Weight Watchers didn't charge you within 15 days for the next month, you never would have recieved the next month's pass in time, in which case the receptionist would have had to charge you for the week, since she'd have no way of knowing whether you are an active monthly pass member.
This is the only time you are charged in such close succession. After that, you are charged once per month on the same date every month. Read what you are signing!

Clearly says you will be billed 15 days early for your next month!

As was said above, you are billed 15 days before the end of your month so they can put a card in the mail and get it to you in time.
It is in large font right below how much you are being billed.
PLEASE NOTE: Your Monthly Pass will automatically renew each month until you cancel. Your credit card will be charged up to 15 days prior to your renewal date at the standard monthly plan fee (plus tax for Connecticut) to ensure you receive your new Monthly Pass card on time.

It is also printed on the Starter Voucher with the access code if you signed up that way.

First, if you look under the billing info on their website it addresses your "double billing" issue. It tells you that you aren't being "double billed". That you are simply being billed for the NEXT month 15 days PRIOR to it's due date. They will do this EVERY time so be prepared. So they billed you for the month of November on the 13th. When they billed you on the 23rd...that should be for the month of Dec. so that you have the card in time for use. They will bill you for Jan. in Dec. If they didn't do that...they wouldn't get you your card in time for the Dec. meetings should you need it. Then you'd be complaining about that!
OR
Simply cancel your membership and contest the charge(s) with your CREDIT CARD COMPANY and let them take care of it for you.
BTW...I am not a weight watchers member nor do I work for them.
