My wife had been out of work for 2 years and then lost her un-employment we were lost on what to do for we now only had one income. We contacted Wells Fargo Home mortgage to tell them because although we were current that we did not think we could continue. They asked if we had tried to sell the house and we explained that we had it on the market by owner for the 2 years but no one would pay enough due to the housing crash here in Georgia. She than stated they had 2 ways to assist us one was a short sale where we put the house on the market with a real estate agent, or a quick claim deed. Then I was asked if I knew a realtor? I told the yes and was told the short sale would be the best way to go, and they then sent a letter to explain the short sale and what information we would need. We supplied everything to the realtor and they went to work for us, and Wells. It was terrible that they kept asking for the same information from us as over and over again but we kept filing it out. Finally we recieved a letter through the realtor that our short sale was initiated, and the realtor had already submitted to them 2 offers. Then a new letter came stating they wanted new information which was given to them, with in 2 days. Then recieved another letter that the short sale was denied we called and the realtor called and were assured that the paperwork had just crossed pathes and the short sale was good and offers under review. No answers came of the short sale, then all the sudden we recieved 30 or more letters from an attorney that they were foreclosing on the house. Called Well's and they said that they showed that the short sale was still good and under review. More foreclosure papers came, so we called the attorney, they told us to call Wells. Now the call to Wells and one dept told us we were under foreclosure and the other said the short sale was still active. needless to say they fore closed on our property. Sent in a complaint to them and am told that the reason for the foreclosure was due to one document they said they never got. The title office handling the equator transmissions and they realtor said they have never seen any thing like this before and just did not understand. Still looking for answers we did not want to loose our house and definitely could not afford bad credit at our age we thought they were going to help I guess I was wrong!!!!!
