Wells Fargo Dire Straits!! Original mortgage company went under and Wells Fargo assumed the assets concerning our home. We were NEVER notified and never signed anything allowing transfer of our assets. Now Wells Fargo is claiming foreclosure on the house we built!! How can they do this? We built a house in a nice community and put it up for sale. As you well know the housing market is in a slump right now. Little did we know that our original mortgage company had gone under and our assets had been transferred to Wells Fargo. We were never notified, and we did not sign any papers. By chance, we found out. We corresponded with Wells Fargo by mail, fax, e-mail, and phone. Initially, they told us to wait because their load from the original mortgage company was tremendous. Again, we had to contact them. Long story short, by chance, AGAIN, we found out that Wells Fargo had foreclosed our house, WITHOUT any notice!! ANd we were still paying all of the utilities on the house. Isn't it amazing that we had a buyer for the house who called the lawyers for Wells Fargo, and they wouldn't deal with him? Wonder why? Is it because Wells Fargo made $174,000? This is so wrong!!! We are hardworking people with real jobs. Is there anybody out there who can help us??
