Whirlpool Broken lid on Cabrio Washer Benton Harbor Michigan
I have a Cabrio washer and dryer. My washer lid broke at the right hinge about 13 months ago. 1 month after warranty expired. I dealt with it and purchased a service plan from Whirlpool, called service plus one ( that repair plus 1 more) for about $350. Used the plus 1 on an unrelated repair about 6 months ago. The repairs done carry a 1 year warranty and now 13 months after replacing the first lid...it is broken again. There is no doubt in my mind that this is an absolute design flaw. Upon calling Whirlpool, I was told that it's out of warranty and there is nothing they can do. I can tell you that there will no longer be Whirlpool products bought by me.
