Recently got my car towed upon arrival asked how much, They simply quoted 101 from the owner. OK ,no problem. Once arrived to the tow yard, they say 126. The $101 was quoted from the owner and the towing agent decided to argue against me, Owner came up and changed his story.
I then decided ok, what a lying upcharging business. I then ok heres my card and charge it. They they say they only accept CASH. what the heck. Who carries $126 in cash on them. They offererd a free ride to the ATM and I refused. I gave them the money and started threathening me.
Once I got in my car, my check engine light came on and once I arrived home, I read the paper. It seems no dispatched them to call them and they had towed more than 4 cars from that 1 parking lot where the sign is no where to be found that its a tow away zone. Note this is at a Public Plaza and say they tow cars only on this lane. I read the paper and the paper is so shady. Nowhere does it says CASH only and they dont even provide an actual email address or even a website. On the paper is states they have been in business FOR 35 years, I would assume they would have some upgrade.
They are Rude, Selfish Lying Thieves that will take your money and run.
I will have my lawyer contact you in the next few days. Your definitely running an unethical money laundering business also and my car is damaged. Too bad you cant pay to remove this post. Your company is horrible and just thieves/ crooks.

You got bit by the standard Scum Towing company.
They probably are required to accept cards for tows, but because of charge backs will refuse or try to refuse to admit that they have to and can. Most people don't understand that presenting your card intending to contest the charge is technically fraud.
If you return to the lot in question you will find a sign for that row of parking reserving it for a particular business or some such. It will positioned to be semi legle and hard to see or find.
Finally, if you sue: You need to prove the tow was wrongfull, or did not meet the standards required for the Jurisdiction, then the damage is now something the tow company would be required to pay.
The disclamer on the sign "Towed at Vehical owners risk and expense" means unless they are very negligent all damage is your problem.
I recomend you do your home work and file a Small Claims suit. At the end the least you get is the tow truck operator having to justify his actions in front of a Judge. Good Fun.
