I contacted a local FFL here in AZ early in April, and asked if he would be the receiving FFL for a handgun(FEG PA-63) my brother in AK was giving me. He agreed, and my brother transferred the gun to his local FFL in AK,who shipped it priority mail, insured for $200,to the FFL here,on April 21. I called the local FFL on April 28 to find out if he had the gun,and he said no. I went to his place of business on April 30,and he still denied having received the gun.

I emailed my brother this weekend for details of the shipment and he emailed back the delivery confirmation notice which indicated it had been picked up at the local PO on April 24th,4 days after the local FFL denied having it. I called him last night and he said he would check his log and his safe in the AM (today) and call me. He seemed upset that I was pestering him about the whereabouts of the gun,and accused me of "making a big drama over a $100 gun">

This AM he called me,said he did not have the gun,and because I p**ssed him off last night he would not help me find it,and not to ever contact him again.

The USPS cannot help me,since the gun was shipped in a manner not requiring a signature (not very bright move by the AK FFL,but he told me on the phone he thought all insured packages required a signature).

I am trying to contact the ATF which regulates firearm dealers, but wanted to post this to warn people not to use this firearms dealer for gun transfer,or, if you do,be sure the sending FFL or private party uses a method which requires a signature from the receiving FFL (insuring for $200 or less does NOT require a signature if using USPS).

USPS Makes Mistake

AUTHOR: lcrlover - ()

POSTED: Monday, January 06, 2014

So a month after this guy files his report, I get a call from the local Post Office & they have a package which was mistakenly put into the large package lockboxes with a notification tag in someone else's mailbox. Turns out he was on vacation, but when he comes home he let the post office know that it was not his package. So anyhow by this time the complainer has already called the ATF on me along with any other gov't agencies he can spell, about how I stole his gun. I explain this to the post office & ask them to please return the gun to Alaska where it originally came from. I honestly could almost care less as we no longer sell firearms anyhow, but I feel my name has been besmirched. That is the end of the story & it is also the end of the album.
