On November 12, 2012 we filed our initial report. Since then the owner submitted a rebuttal. Since then A.V Hodge has deleted his old website, deleted all old email accounts, changed his telephone numbers and started a new website design company called Williams and Woods (formerly J10 Media Designs). He has made his business not include his contact information anywhere on his new site.

To add to his scam he also deleted the websites of other customers that were paid for in full. The Special Occasion Band paid for their website ($500) and was told by us that it had been deleted. Mr. Hodge never contacted them to tell them that their site was gone www.thespecailoccasionband.com. They also never received any hard copies of their files.Mr. Hodge is now running from his customers and all websites were paid for in full. He is owed no money by any of us. He has also changed his Pay Pal information because of too many complaints. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DESIGNER!!!!

Please send our original report below.

My business partner and I obtained three websites from J10 Media Designs. The first site came with a marketing package and a six month monitoring and maintenance package. It was roughly $1000.00. This site was paid for in
full.

The maintenance on the site was always spotty Updates to the site not completed in a timely manner The marketing services were never confirmed

The second site that was completed in June, came with a six month monitoring and maintenance package, was also paid for in full and came up to $250.00. The maintenance on the site was always spotty

Updates to the site not completed in a timely manner The third site was never completed and was also half paid for and came up to roughly $700.00

While waiting for our third site, we sent him several leads that turned into actual customers and promoted his company on a daily bases.

After three (long and drawn out on his part) attempts to design a site that we liked, the designer asked us to finish paying for the site prior to it being 100% approved, we refused to pay for the site until it was completed and met our standards. Then this seemly professional business became very unprofessional and our nightmare began.

According to our contract if we were not 100% satisfied, we were entitled to refund and we in return asked for one and still to date have not received it. Our emails then began being unanswered and then the designers cell phone
service was interrupted and he was unable to be reached for about two weeks.

Once my business partner fired the designer the vindictive side of him came out. He decided to retaliate by having site number two's hosting stop and then even called up GoDaddy and had the sites flies destroyed. And again the site was paid for in full and was not the site with the problem.

In June of this year we asked, for hardcopies of our files on disc with our sites design, codes etc to be mailed to us. The designer initially refused to send them (although per his contract we owned everything outright) but later on said that he would send them out in a couple of days. We finally received the disk a week ago (November 1). In continuation with his retaliation he cancelled other accounts connected to site number two and changed passwords to other accounts as
well.

Site number three was the site with the issue but this designer decided to use his power to destroy a site that he had been paid in full for.  Also, he used the hosting for site three to promote another company (even though in his contract we own our own hosting etc).

At this point we are obtaining the service of an attorney to resolve this matter because all of our prior attempts to resolve it were ignored. After discussing our situation with other developers, we also found out that almost all of this designers programs are free online tools and the major fluctuations in his prices were for his own gain. So where one site was $1000 and the next was $250 and the third was $700, his actually total cost to create the site was under $100 because he using free online tools to build the website that you can do yourself.

Beware of this business!!! If you have already done business with him please make sure you received hard copies of all of your files, usernames, passwords etc.
