Chris Eveyln is a thief and a con artist. At first he seemed like a nice guy who didn't really understand computer networking, which should of been my first sign. He promised me free internet for 3 months but after signing up with his service, he charged my credit card 4 times in one month, mind you that the month was suppose to free. Not to mention his service worked OK for the first week or so but soon after it all went down hill.

When i approached him about why my credit card was charged several times, he denied it and became very defensive, claiming it was an error his accounting did. When he initally showed up at my house, he had a young lad with him that was doing all the work and climbing for him; as chris is about 400 lbs, he is uncapable of doing it himself. It was then that he started talking down to this young man, in which the he said out loud, that chris owes him enough money. The next time i saw chris, he had fired this young man and had a new employee with even less training than the previous worker.

I have worked in IT my entire life; i made a career out of it, and being in this field, i have come across many flakes and Chris Eveyln is definitely one of the worst... To date i have canceled service with him and still have not recieved any reimbursement for my 'free' month of service; my lawyer said its easier to let it go. I should also bring up the fact that he has not only done this to me, but to several friends i have in kendal as well. Avoid this guy at all costs; he is a thief and should be in jail.

It still stuns me that in today's day and age, you can baselessly slander someone and get away with it.

But then that's pretty much the definition of this website. I'd like to start this rubuttal by stating flat out

that everything about this person's post is pure fiction. You'll notice that they've not include a name, address, or any contact information. Because they know if they did, they'd be liable to answer for their alligations.

That said, i will take the time to address this persons claims. For starters, everything about this person's post is wrong, and it's what shows me that it's not even a legitimate complaint. First, WISP has only ever once offered a promotion where we offered the first 3 months of service free of charge. It was in our first year of operation, over 5 years ago, and it's not something we've done since.

The closest to this offer that we've done, is a first month free offer, and even this offer was finished in late summer of this year. So i find it strange that the poster above mentions that he had apparently been offered 3 months of free service. It's completely untrue. What's more, had he in fact been refering to our recent first month free promotion, this is always calculated on the first bill, which includes the clients Installation charge and any additional accessories they are purchasing, such as a router. During a normal install, the installation fees, accessories, and first month of service are added together and placed on the bill, and the client pays this at the time of installation. During the promo, the first month of service is simply left off the bill, so while it is possible that he was in fact charged once (for his installation) there is no way he would have been charged for his first month of service.

The next point he so impolitely brings up is the aparent installation. Our business has grown to the point that i rarely go onsite to an install myself. In fact, the only time i go onsite for an install is when we are installing a tower for a client, and even then i rarely do so as i have staff to do this job, while i focus on running the business. So once again i find it strange that this person claims i was onsite for their install.

Then we have the claim of my talking down to the installer, who is described as being a young guy. Our installer is actually a family member, and i have never nor would i ever speak down with him. Nor is he really a young guy. He's an adult and as i mentioned above, he's typically onsite doing the job by himself, so i'm unsure how this supposed conversation would ever have taken place. The implication that i would talk to my staff about something as unprofessional as money in the presence of a client, or on site with a client is completely rediculous and further shows how completely unfounded these claims are.

 

Finally, the last peice of the puzzle here is the billing in and of itself. WISP has a billing department, and we have a staff member who handles all billing inquires. If this individual was having some type of a billing issue, they would not have been speaking with me in the first place, they would have been speaking with her.

 

Ultimately i hope anyone reading this will see that this post is full of holes, and completely bogus.
