I was billed for the month of May 2003 for $7.00 to my credit card statement by WLI*ReservationRewards and again for the month of June 2003.

I have no knowledge whatsoever of this company or who they are or even how they acquired my credit card number in order for them to charge it every month.

After reading the rip-off report websites it appears that they are affiliated with a company by the name of A&E which I also have no affiliation with or any knowledge to even what kind of company it is.

If they have gotten my credit card information from things that I have bought online I would like to know exactly how that is possible. The majority of things I purchase on the internet are floral arrangements. That has been the extent of online shopping.

So tell me how in the hell they have gotten away with this and let me know what I need to do to get back my money!

1-800-flowers has a very lax, neglectful privacy policy, revisit that site.

AUTHOR: Jacqueline - (U.S.A.)

Review the fine print, in the privacy policy for 1-800-flowers or whoever you do business, with who provides a similiar service. According to the flower-people, this is their policy: When you place an order and release your credit card information to them, they hand that same information over to another merchant in tandem. This is an automated process. You give your number to Merchant One, while this one is automatically transfering the same information to Merchant Two. The process occurs in your HTML mark up, as you purchase. Just read the fine print the next time you visit the site. You shouldn't have to,and what they're doing is wrong, but this is the source of your rip-off situation.

WLI/*wli is really a business called Travel Values Plus. There web site is www.travelvaluesplus.com. They give you a travel discount package, with 50% of hotel fees, 24-hour road and tow protection, and up to 25% on car rental discounts. To me it all sounds like a scam. I wouldn't trust them for the simple fact, that they invade the privacy of others. In order to remove that charge from your credit card, you have to go to that web site, and tell them to remove you from your automatic subscription, and to refund your money. ACT NOW--because I suspect they're not going to be around much longer. They have a "tit-for-tat" deal with numerous sites accross the web. For example, if you decide to become a member and subscribe to Classmate.com, the same thing is going to happen.

ALL online shoppers are at high risk, for being caught in Merchat 2's end of the world wide web. You have to go to that site or you will be continually charged. They're not the only ones out there. You can visit www.webloyalty.com to see some of the other 2nd and 3rd party merchants. This process reminds me of "Cookie files". Sometimes when you go through your own Internet History records, you might have cookies from places, that you've never been--they work the same way. They are like second and third party cookies.

The flower-people see themselves as "customizing your personal shopping needs", which is why you should make it clear, you want to opt out. It may not be possible, as this is their standard policy.

You might need to consider, going through the old fashioned route of your local florist's services. You might also treat this as THEFT and get new account numbers issued for all of your credit cards, and bank accounts.

Hope this helps.
