This is one of the companies in Richmond VA that is prejudice. Here in VA they hired people base on there credit, the color of there skin or who they know. Not if you are qualified. regardless if you pass all test and all interviews they say oh! we do a credit check not back ground but credit and if you have bad credit we cannot hire you. And the job has nothing to do with money or credit cards. But the kicker was I have good credit but I was black.
One of the managers asked me, "Why should I hire you? If I do that you can take my job!" I was like, "Whatever!" I called and they were like, "Oh out of the 8 we needed 6 and you wasn't one of them. All was with accept me!" They do travel insurance. IF you see this company run.

World Access - Prejudice May Not Be True
AUTHOR: Ruth - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, August 10, 2004
In response to the young lady who called "World Access" a racist company because she was not accepted for employment. I have no personal interest in World Access nor am vested in them in any manner.
However, I was compelled to respond to your accusation of prejudice. I, personally, have a black friend, who has worked for World Access for close to 5 years and loves it there. She is not an isolated incidence as far as black employees go.
What I'm about to say is "constructive criticism" and I hope the young lady who wrote the letter takes no offense. I read your complaint and noticed it was filled with typographical errors and very poor English.
This may not have seemed to be important to you, but many of World Access' interaction with its customer are verbal and written correspondence. If your letter of complaint is an example of how you express yourself verbally and written, then I can fully understand why World Access declined your employment. Based on what I read from you, I would have done the same. What they should have done is be more direct with you as to why they declined your employment.
Many people think it is enough to be smart, but in a business that thrives on it's direct interaction with its customers, grammar and accuracy is highly prized.
Please don't think this is a racist statement because I am a very black woman, myself.
I'm just trying to be fair.
Thank you.
