I saw the strange name appear on a recent credit card invoice. I phoned card company to inquire/dispute charge. No problem for this month's invoice of $9.99. In parting he asked if we'd ever done business with this company in the past and that it looked to be a internet service charge. My reply was that I'd never heard of them.That amount will be removed immediately.

As soon as I put down the reciever it occurred to me to look back through all other invoices. Sure enough, there were others. Using somewhat varied names and country of origin. All used UK or TEL AVIV IP .The amounts were varying; 49.99.$9.99, $1.95, $39.99.Only the charges I contest in the first 60 days after invoice are elegible to contest, according to the rules of my credit card company. Beyond that, I have no recourse. I am at fault for not having checked my billing immediately and to qualify debts/charges or dispute them.

I was told that the "addresses" on the invoices were internet and the card company could not help me find the perpetrators. It was up to me to locate them on the internet. I tried and got THIS site!

Someone is getting very fat at the expense of others. Too bad there isn't some international law enforcement agency to investigate.
