I purchased a monitor manufactured by X2GEN in February 2007. I was enticed to this monitor because of the allure of a $50.00 mail-in-rebate.

As is my nature to be a document hound, I followed the instructions to the "T", within 2 days of my purchase.

After waiting the insane 10 to 12 weeks www.rebatesystems.com states is required to process a document it took all of 10 minutes to complete, I contacted www.rebatesystems.com to inquire as to the where-abouts of my well deserved $50.00 rebate check was located at this present time.

I received the following e-mail from www.rebatesystems.com. Keep in mind, that no person from www.rebatesystems.com contacted me regarding additional information on my inquiry. Not only did this reply infuriate me, but it has to be one of the most absurd, dim-witted blonde replies I have ever received.

Hello and thank you for the inquiry. We are sorry, but your rebate has been rejected for the following reason;No or Incorrect Model Number or Serial Number,Invoice Date or Price Not Circled or no invoice found. We are sorry these are errors on your part.
Rebate systems

1. - How can I get my $50.00 rebate?
2. - Please explain how all of the issues mentioned above could be possible and why did it take less than day to insult me, but it takes 10 to 12 weeks to process?

Any suggestions?

After many e-mails and the complete refusal by rebatesystems.com to honor my correctly completed rebate request, I demanded that I speak with their attorney or I would file with every consumer agency and my Congressional Represtentative, they stated that I had better stop threathening them or their attorney would take action against me. I stated have him call me today and sent them my phone number. In less than 10 minutes they e-mailed me back to say that their attorney had told them to issue my rebate that very day May 29th, but it would take 2 weeks to mail it to me.

I then told them if the check had been issued to have someone take it to the Post office, because 2 weeks was unacceptable. I got another e-mail saying if you want the "d**n" check then you WILL wait 2 weeks or it will not be sent.

During all the communication with these people not once was a name used, no number to call (they said they do not give out any company information).

As fate would have it I received my check within 4 days and an e-mail stated they had a "stellar" representation for customer service and did not mean to cause me such stress and if I could find it in my heart not to file with any consumer agency.

It is sad that to receive a lousy $50 rebate it took up several days of my time and I had to endur insults and threats.

My advise to anyone submitting a rebate to copy every single piece of paper, sent the rebate via priority or certified mail, so they cannot treat you like I was treated.
