a person at the door sold me on going to a college and i bought two books at an unusally hogh price but she gave me a story about points counting to her winning the prize. so she took the check and said i could cancell the order at any time.
in the next few days my daughter suggested i cancell. so I tried. I put stop payment on the check and the person changed the amount of payment and put it through again with a different date and used an electronic method. i want my money back and the ammounr of overdraft.

These people have committed check fraud and forgery. These are both crimes. Take all your documentation (copies of the stop check request, statements showing that a different amount went through to these people and, if possible, an image of the new check) to the police and file a report. Criminals like that need to be stopped.
