I noticed over the past few months that my husband's credit card was being charged $1 for "Ap9*Your Savings Club-V 877-820-7107 CT". I figured it was something that he had done and didn't think too much about it, but this month I finally decided to investigate the charge. I called the toll-free number shown and immediately hit a wall - no humans. I looked at the website the auto attendant named, www.yoursavingsclub.com. It was some goofy club where you get supposedly discount prices on shopping, I guess coupons or something. Anyway, I absolutely knew my husband would never sign up for that kind of hokey stuff, so I started trying to contact the company.

First, I would like to say that they responded to my emails within 15 minutes of my inquiry, so that was good of them. On the website there is no phone number or physical address to get in touch with them, just a PO Box and email contact information. So while I was waiting for a response to my email, I googled their name and discovered this RipOff Report website, because "Your Savings Club" seems to be part of a larger marketing organization that was using people's credit card numbers willy-nilly without permission. I read one of the complaints, which posted a real phone number: 402-661-2000. I called the number and a human answered the phone straight away.

I was able to cancel the "membership" fairly easily. They of course took me through a few steps, trying to confirm my member number (I have no idea what that would have been), my husbands name, our address, his email, our phone numbers. They didn't have any of this, so they finally took the credit card number to look up the account, and BINGO, they found it. Of course my husbands information wasn't on there, but they wouldn't tell me WHO's information was. They said that was PRIVATE - only the person who opened the account could be given that information. Grrr.

But I will say that the girl I talked to (Christina, ID #5766) quickly understood that we didn't open the account and cancelled it right away, since it was obvious it wasn't ours. I received a confirmation of the cancellation immediately, and was told I would receive a credit for the monthly charges on my husbands card within one to two business days. I'll be watching for that.

To anyone that is being charged this monthly fee from these people, please feel free to use any of this information to help you get out of this hokey organization. Again, call 402-661-2000 - that's where the real people are!
