A purchase of Western Digital hard drive was made 10/31/04 from TigerDirect.com with a $40 rebate handled by OnRebate.com, which is affiliated with TigerDirect.com. All rebate submittal directions were followed precisely, with all required documentation submitted.

On 12/03/04, an e-mail was received as follows, stating only:

"Your rebate for: Up To $40 On Select Western Digital Hard Drive has been processed.

Your new status is: DENIED

Reason for denial: INSUFFICIENT DOCUMENTATION

You will receive no further update on this rebate.

If you have any questions regarding this decision, please send an email to status@onrebate.com and refer to tracking number: [XXXXX]"

An e-mail to the supplied address bounced as undeliverable, unknown recipient. Finding a support e-mail address (support@onrebate.com) buried on their web site, I resubmitted a request for specifics on the denial to both addresses. An automatically generated response was received stating an answer would be forthecoming within 72 hours. None came. Additional queries have also gone unanswered.
