Yes, our business, Yarny Goodness, has been slow in responding to some of our vendors, and for that we do apologize. However, the report given by this anonymous poster is both unfair and nearly libelous.
First, the reason why we haven't sent everyone's products back to them even though our shop is closed is because of real life events. We spent thousands of dollars supporting, advertising, and running the business. My husband lost his job -- income from which was being used to support the business -- last September, and yes, I have a terminal illness which means I don't have either the energy or ability to work actively on getting the shop shut down. I'm sorry that these sound like excuses, but they are real, and anyone that actually knows us knows these to be true.
To say that we don't care is simply not true.
As for "con games," "lies," and "petty revenge," I would like to know of any single instance of such shenanigans apart from our tardiness in getting some vendors' stock returned.
"Smoking a lot of dope"? This person truly does not understand exactly what is going on with me health-wise. The level of pain that I am undergoing is usually controlled through the use of of prescription medications, and it was at a doctor's urging that I use medical marijuana for those rare times when even the most potent prescription does nothing for my symptoms. I can count the number of times I have resorted to this on one hand.
I also don't understand what tarot readings have to do with getting one's inventory returned. Yes, I have given one such reading for a friend of my husband in the past year. That's it. It isn't as if such a nefarious activity was keeping me from my responsibilities.
I would like to address the poster's last point. We have lost thousands of dollars trying to support independent yarn, wool, and accessory producers -- most of whom are indeed women. Many successful businesses are successful because of our work in getting them noticed. If we were indeed the criminals you make us out to be, then we're very bad criminals since we've lost more than any body else.
And finally, I would like to say that we are STILL in the process of returning items to vendors and because of the costs involved we manage to get one or two vendors taken care of each week. The one bit of pettiness that I will admit to is that those vendors who have been exceedingly rude to us we have moved to the end of the list to get taken care of. The vast majority of our approximately 120 vendors have been happy with us.
