It's funny how all the complaints are about billing or training. Jani-King has no real training to speak of. But, remember they are professionals and the contract is air tight. I see a lot of people are trying to sue them but I doubt it goes through. They are trained in the art of contract wording. NEVER buy a franchise from these people. Entrepreneurial Magazine should be held accountable for the false advertising. They give them such high regards people think it's a can't miss endeavor. As a ex-employee they owe me money from one time cleans. They just put you off till you give up. It's a game of endurance and if you don't have the cash to stay in it. They will bury you in legal fees and paper work. Thank goodness I didn't buy the franchise. Ever wonder why they have such high turn over in the office? They just blame the person before them and say they cant do anything about it. It really cleaver when you think about it. This is a highly skilled craft they have conquered. I don't know of anyone other than a secretary that stayed with the company over a year....of course this doesn't count the owners son that moves from place to place putting fires out...or starting them whatever the case may be.

They do under bid contracts, and you have the right to refuse. But, if you refuse it still counts as a offer of business towards your plan. They have a few franchisees that make a little money but not many. Sometimes your playing in a shark tank and don't realize it until its too late. Good Luck with the legal action but be realistic. They are really good at this and been doing it a long time.

#1 UPDATE Employee

Avalible to address any concerns

AUTHOR: Chance Enmon - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 23, 2010

My name is Chance Enmon. I am the aforementioned owners son, and I do travel around addressing issues in our offices around the Gulf Coast.

I will try to address the concerns of this complaint:

In the past, we have struggled to find a Regional Director in our SE Mississippi market. I'm am proud to say that we have had someone in that position for almost 2 years now, and that is the longest tenured Regional Director that city has had for sometime now. I'm not happy about that, but we have to make changes if the director isnt running a city to properly support our franchisees.

We employ about 100 people, to support 400 franchisees around the Gulf Coast from Shreveport, LA to Montgomery, AL to Pensacola, FL and back to Lafayette, LA. We have many employees who have been with us for 5, 10, and even 15 years. I am sorry; we try not to employee people who are not performing well for our franchisees, so yes we do turn some employees over.

Maybe this ex-employee knows something about underbidding accounts that I do not. I welcome any knowledge that he has about this. I for one have never intentionally underbid and account, and if mistakes were made, or estimates for cleaning times were not achievable I have done everything in my power, including canceling the account, to correct the issue. This is something we would never want to happen, but they do happen every once in a while. It is definitely not our policy to underbid accounts, and if this employee really knew our business he would know that we lose most of our bids because we are too high. There are very few times that we are the lowest.

I assume this person is talking about franchise training, and it consists of about 40 hours of classroom and hands on training in all aspects of running a successful franchise. Thats not to say that all training is the same, there may be some trainers that do a better job than others, but if any franchise feels like they need additional training, we would be willing to provide that training to them. We try everyday to give our franchisee the tools they need to be successful. But in the end their success is not dependent upon anything that I or the regional office can do for them. Ultimately they have to do it for themselves.

The great majority of our franchisees get exactly what they want from their franchise. Some come in and do $4,000 -$5,000 a month in business and that's all they want to do. Some grow there franchise to gross over a Million dollars a year. We are here to serve and support all franchises that want to follow a successful business model.

As always I'm available to address any concerns of our franchisees or employees. My number is 985-370-7700.

Thank you,

Chance Enmon
