Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you to make a formal complain about the company A.G.E. Training. I have approached A.G.E Training programme on 29th July 2013. I found the job advert on a webside called Totaljobs for the position of a Care Assistant.

Upon meeting with personnel from A.G.E Training, they requested that I undertake two mandatory courses which cost £255,60 before being offered a position. They also mentioned that upon successful completion of the courses a position would be offered in less than 3 weeks from receiving the certificates. I have received those certificates indeed. However, they failed to contact me after this period. Subsequently, when I contacted more than five times, they ensured me that as soon as they had a vacancy they would give me the details of a care home that I would be working for.

After months of chasing A.G.E. Training I made a formal complaint letter to the manager trying to reach a solution. Unfortunately I realised that I had been taken advantage of and nothing of what I had been promised came to fruition. They changed their web page and did not answer my calls or emails.

In addition I have also met another person that have experienced the same problem from A.G.E. Training just as recently as this year. She too was promised employment upon completion of the ‘mandatory’ training courses, yet this did not materialise.

I feel that the organisation A.G.E. Training is unlawfully promising people employment and using this premise to make money out of individuals by encouraging them to undertake unnecessary training courses at an inflated cost, after by which no such employment arises and they simply take the money and move on to the next unsuspecting victim.

I would like to bring this to your attention and would like to know how you intend to respond to my personal experiences in dealing with this employer as I feel that myself and the other individual are not the only ones being misled.

I would like to peruse a full refund of the monies paid for the course as the company did not fulfil their obligation of providing employment.

I am hoping that you can move forward with my complaint in due course and look forward to hearing from you.
