#1 REBUTTAL Individual responds
Response to Capstone Title
AUTHOR: Jorge Newbery - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Friday, March 05, 2010
Capstone Title is billing American Homeowner Preservation for title orders which were never requested. We had already obtained title commitments from Netco Title and these were furnished to Capstone when we asked Capstone to close the acquisition of five AHP homes by one of our investors. We asked Capstone to utilize the Netco title commitments, and reimburse Netco for their cost. Unfortunately, this investor was unable to secure the financing he expected and the closings did not occur.
Nevertheless, Capstone is now requesting that American Homeowner Preservation pay them for the title commitments which were never ordered, received or utilized.
American Homeowner Preservation offers a novel foreclosure prevention solution which offers families at risk of foreclosure the ability to stay in their homes with affordable lease payments and favorable options to repurchase. AHP closings have been successfully handled by Netco Title, Grandview Title, Title First and others, all of whom have been paid as agreed for their services.
