Do not have your child tutored by this company. Do not hire this company to tutor you if you’re an adult! My son was with this company for THREE YEARS and his SOL scores were fail to basic and stayed that way for three years and his math grade overall remained a low C to failing. She also helped sometimes in other subjects Right Lol.

What was sold to us thousands of dollars later average 170 a month X 3 years well WE Were RIPPED OFF. 
The owner was hired and taught my son. He is still in Algebra I after three years. I ask myself as I did many times why stay with the same company. I was just under the impression that there was a method to her madness and she knew what she was doing. I even had her come over the summers for most of the breaks.

This year my son started High School and I know these years count for his future more than ever! So I contacted the owner his tutor regarding the SOL scores for the last three years being fail to basic, no improvement. Then spoke of the third time he was taking Algebra I and he was back at a low C. I asked her for feedback. 

She blamed it all on my son. Her reply I will not even Write it was personally offensive as a Parent and care giver and so unprofessional.  She went way out of bounds not being a parent herself or an MD. It has taken me three weeks to write this up because I did not want to leave feedback like this when I was emotional. I truly wanted to warn all interested customers in need of tutoring to go elsewhere. What is on her site and how she performs as well as other tutors she sent to the house the first year do not come close to what she sells you. It is a total Bait and Rip OFF

She not once and has yet to accept responsibility as a professional that has sold me a service. She blames it all on the CHILD.

She never gave yearly assessment’s, never tried to change her approach with my son it was her way or he was an idiot; with her condescending not happy or enthusiastic tone. She would tell him to shut up when I left the room. As my son has now informed me as well.

In her reply I'm positive she will continue to place blame other than accept responsibility.  I could guess of statements such as; why I did not come to her sooner. Well I just keep waiting patiently in hopes that she would care about my son’s improvement and why she was there to teach him with her so called knowledge of the subject.

Now that I look back I guess I needed to do her job for her and remind her to give my son assessment’s, constantly give her the progress reports and grades, weekly updates, let her know the condescending method really is not working how about we try this or this or that. When a parent pays for a service that cost that much out of our pocket well it's a rip off when we have to pull the tutor aside and remind them of their responsibilities. 


As you read the FAQ page on her website it states.....

"All tutoring is done one-on-one inside the home. We will provide a customized solution after assessing the learning style of the student and will match them with someone who has a compatible personality. We make learning fun by setting attainable goals and realistic expectations" Could not be further from three years of the truth!

"A comfortable learning environment is one that promotes advancement. Some students are not comfortable asking questions in a classroom full of other students. We provide immediate answers and instant feedback on performance. We encourage students to ask questions and to engage in further understanding of the subject. We promote self-confidence and build self-esteem by giving undivided attention to each student’s needs."  Again could not be further from the truth after three years as a client!

"We. Work around your schedule so that we are available when you need us." She could only fit my son in for 45 minutes rather than an hour after three years. We had to work around her schedule and when she had other appointments’. She would actually say this while trying to schedule. She would Skip him for several weeks if it did not work for her. She would Give us less than a few days’ notice of when she would be out of town. Again wasting our time and not being professional! 

In the end what we experienced was the laziest, milk the money, condescending attitude of whatever from this tutor she never asked how his grades were or had a clue where he was at, she seemed tired and uninterested in her clients best interest over hers.

I do hope the owner grows and learns from this but untill she does and if she does I would make a different choice in who you tutor with.
