During the past 4 years Dennis Dodd has acted at Great American Travel, Great American Travel & More,  American Travel and most currently Great American Discount Vacations.  This is a marketing company selling mini vacations for customers to travel to Branson, Mo, Pigeon Forge TN, and Wisconsin Dells, WI.

This company open and closes its doors to avoid paying hotels, theaters income and unemployment taxes.  They closed the office at 3044 Shepard of the Hills, Branson Mo in October and now use Eagle Marketing or Branson Reservations as a front for their business.  They do not have any business license in the city of Branson at this time.

Be aware if you are traveling with these companies customers have been stranded in Branson,  hotels will not accept their guest, or guest are placed in sub-standard accommodations. 
This company is currently under investigation for internet and credit card fraud.  Beware if you are contacted by any of these companies your personal information may have  been compromised.

They are currently contacting guests scheduled to check in to Branson with other marketing companies if you are contacted and re-directed to change your vacation plans, call Branson City Police at 417-337-8532 immediately and inform them your personal information has been compromised and they follow up with your original vacation planner.

First off I would like to say there is very little truth in this report. None of the companies mentioned have been closed to avoid taxes or bills. The office in Branson was closed due to the manager at that location leaving. As far as customers information being compromised, this is a fact. Carla Tate the manager of the Branson office is contacting all our customers and redirecting them to her office Star Family Adventures, she represents that she is our company or that we are out of business and she is taking over. This is not true. We have had to hire additional staff to contact all our existing customers to inform them of this situation and to make sure they have a contact number for our springfield location. Eagle Marketing does do all our checkins and has for years. They are a great company and do a great job for us. We do not have a business license in Branson because we are no longer located there, however until we closed that location we had a license in good standing. We have never had a customer stranded in Branson that I am aware of. We book reservations everyday and the hotels accept them, we have several customers that have checked in since this was posted to prove this. We do have unpaid hotel bills in dispute where Carla Tate of Star Vacations redirected our customers and we do not dfeel we should be liable for those customers as they did not check in with us. If we are under investigation for internet and credit card fraud then how can we continue to accept credit cards for purchases and how could we obtain a new merchant account for our new online store which can be seen at www.greatatc.com Our company only contacts its own customers to make reservations however I'm sure some of our customers have also used other companies since Branson is a very popular location. If you are a customer of ours and are unsatisfied or just need to contact us feel free to call mon-fri 9-5 417-881-8276 we would love to hear from you. If you are contacted by Carla Tate or Star Vacations, yes please contact Branson Police and let them know you are our customer and your information has been compromised.
