This company promised me a refinance on my existing home loan @ 2.875% w/a 50k cash out. Then over a period of two months took away the cash out and raised the interest rate and fees. After doing most all the foot work for this guy, he had the nerve to change the game at the very last moment stating I would have to bring an additional $1800+ to the table to close the deal.

When my husband and  i  refinanced our home through Home Savings of America, we were well informed about every step of the process. We knew up front , of the money that we would have to bring to the table, and of the cost involved. We had no surprises. our loan went smoothly and without any hiccups. Robert Metrock was kind and considerate throughout the whole process. I feel that Robert did a good job in coordinating all that was required

Reporting on Good Experiences With Robert Metrock Not Unbelievable

Just so happens several customers had good experiences with Robert Metrock of Home Savings of America.  Why is it unbelievable we'd speak up for him to rebut one consumer's sour grapes regarding fluctuating interest rates?  The interest rate isn't good till it's locked in.  Robert gave me an estimate however advised it could change depending on when we locked.  Having purchased three houses in the past, I was aware until rates are locked they're flexible.  Robert was very up front about making sure I understood that as well as what would be required as money to bring to the table depending on what was required for escrow by the bank which could also change depending on when we closed.  None of the positive comments are a crock or made up by fictitious people.  I'm a real person and I don't work for Home Savings of America.

Flawless Transaction

Robert Metrock handled my refinance and I was quite impressed by his professionalism, attention to detail, and patience. He never promised something he couldn't deliver and took the time to explain all aspects of the transaction to me. The deal Robert closed was so great I had to keep asking for clarification because it seemed too good to be true! I have and will continue to recommend Robert to friends and family.

Seemed Pretty Good to Me

I've had my house refinanced twice in the last three years.  The second time, with Robert Metrock and Home Savings of America, was the more professionally handled.  They reduced my rates further than the first refinance, with no closing cost to me.  They asked for less hoops jumped through than the previous guys.  They were willing to communicate via email, while the last guys would only speak on the phone.  (I find it reassuring to have everything in writing.)  It did take about 6 weeks to get everything completely settled, but I was completely satisfied.

Positive experience with Robert Metrock and HSOA

Robert Metrock and HSOA provided excellent service in the refinance of my Santa Fe vacation home. I contacted Robert via email and he was very responsive both by email and by phone. All my expectations were met and he was able to obtain a very favorable and realistic interest rate. I had attempted a refi with a large national bank and was given a 4 month run around who kept changing the qualifications for my loan. I was presently surprised by the ease in which Robert facilitated the closing of my loan and he went above and beyond in his service. Everything that was represented by Robert was fulfilled at closing. I even saved more money than I anticipated. The refinance was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend Robert Metrock to anyone who is thinking about purchasing or refinancing their home.

I have just recently completed a refi with the assistance of Mr. Metrock. There were no issues, and I felt he dealt with me honestly and worked diligently to ensure i received the best possible rate. I would have no issues dealing with Mr. Metrock or Home Savings again in the future.

I am sorry that you feel that way. Me personally, I only have good things to say about Robert Metrock, He has integrity in what he do, and is a very Honest, Robert treated me with dignity and respect. I have work with many mortgage lenders and brokers and Robert and his processor stands on top. I have closed on several loans and learn to realize that what I think as a customer may not always be in compliance with my situations and lending laws.

The lender can only go off the information that is initially supplied by customers and some other resources, which at this day and time can be out date information, due to the constant change in our economy. That being said to point out that, Robert is the type of banker that if anyone is going to jump though any hoop he will, I was willing to throw in the towel because I felt like the number was not looking in my favor due to my initial estimation that I supplied him with on home value, credit, debits, etc. not facts. He told me to hang in there, He will present me with other options and he did. Thanks Robert for being the best! Closed 21Nov2011

Exceeded my expectations

Robert helped me lower my interest rate earlier this year. I am now saving about $125 dollars a month, and a large sum of interest over the term of the loan. Robert maintained close contact with me throughout the process. At no time, did I feel pressured, or uninformed about anything involved in the loan. I was informed any time there was a change, and was pleased with his friendly communication.

I continue friendly contact with Robert, and would highly recommend his services to anyone. I am now saving more money than was originally estimated, and was not hit with any hidden fees or last minute changes.

Fantastic Work

HomeSavings of America as well as Robert Metrock did an incredible job.  I was deployed to Afghanistan during the time my home was being purchased.  He communicated every aspect of the loan process and helped minimize any heartache that my wife was going through.  Robert Metrock was very courteous and respectful during the whole process.  He was very understanding of my situation and did everything in his power to ease the process.  I just recently returned from my deployment and I am happy with everything that HomeSavings of America and Robert Metrock did.  I have a beautiful home that I am very thankful for.

Robert Metrock was honest and professional with me

Robert Metrock of Home Savings was very professional and honest with me. I asked for a lot and he delivered. Knowing how the mortgage interest rates are arrived at, I knew he couldn't get me an unrealistic low rate. But he did get the lowest rate available and paid all the costs as he promised, without tacking one penny on to the loan amount.

Like the complainer, my appraisal came in far lower than I hoped, but it wasn't his fault that I could't take as many  $ out of the house as I wanted. I think some people believe a mortgage loan agent has more power over the outcome than they really have. Robert explained to me that timing is important and rates do change. He said the dollar amount I take out will totally depend on the appraisal. When things don't turn out as we hope, we shouldn't blame the mortgage loan agent. He wants the business to close as much as we do so he has a vested interest in working closely with the customer. Everything he promised, he delivered and I think he's an honest person.

Happy Customer of Home Savings of America and Robert Metrock

I've worked with Robert Metrock from Home Savings of America on two mortgage loan refinances.  He was a consummate professional.  He advised me regarding reasonable refinance rates I could expect on my FHA loan, the amount of money I'd need to bring to the table to close the deal and was professional and honest in all of his dealings with me.  The FHA loan went perfectly.  Robert was helpful and provided answers to all of my questions.  He readily answered my email inquiries and answered my calls or called me back expeditiously if he was busy when I called.  Unfortunately, my Fannie Mae loan refi did not work out but not because Robert didn't didn't do everything within his power to help me.  I had an 80/20 loan in place I've had since I purchased the property in 2002.  My second mortgage company would not budge on subordinating my second mortgage loan despite the more favorable interest rate Robert was able to get on my first mortgage.  I called them as well and they just wouldn't budge.  I plan to pay them off in the next few months and will work with Robert again on my Fannie Mae refi and on any future home purchases.  During September 2011, Robert made several calls on my behalf to the second mortgage company and even tried to find another company who'd be willing to take a look at my second mortgage to no avail.  Unfortunately, companies these days aren't doing second mortgages on rental properties despite good payment records and high credit scores of the mortgage holder. 

Robert Metrock is a man of integrity who was up front and honest with me during the whole refinance process.  He did not promise unrealistically low mortgage interest rates to suck me in.  He was honest and only willing to do business with me if he could truely save me money.  He didn't want to waste my time or his if he couldn't help me.  Robert Metrock is an upstanding individual and he and his company, Home Savings of America are reputable mortgage lenders.

Great Service

I just recently used Home Savings of America for the second time, Both times I have had great service through them.  Robert completed all the work faster than first estimated and my payments were a lot smaller than estimated.  I closed about 2 weeks earlier and saved an extra $70 a month on my mortgage payment.  The Interest rate I recieved was what I was offered from the beginning and was lower from several other companies that I researched online before I made my final decision.  I have recommended Home savings of america to a couple of people and would recommend them to any one that would inquire about them.  Great customer service and fast response times to both e-mails and phone calls.

I was amazed

I was amazed by the terrific service provided by Home Savings of America with my recent home purchase. Robert Metrock was terrific to work with ~ responsive both by phone and by email when overcoming our timezone differences. I had a pre-approval letter within 1 day of my application. I went from contract to closing in less than a month (closing nearly 3 weeks EARLY). I ended up with a terrific rate (under 4%) which was better than all the paperwork we had been reviewing. No hidden fees; no surprise closing amounts. Upfront and honest service from the entire team I worked with at HSOA.
