Santa Clara County Procurement Department - A Severely Hostile Work Environment Condoned by County Executives and costing the taxpayers millions.

The County of Santa Clara's Director of Procurement, Jenti Vandertuig, has wasted nearly $3.1 Million of the taxpayer's money in the last 3 years due to ridiculously high employee and contractor turn over.

If anyone would like to see the statistics or has any comments to add please let me know. I have data showing the money wasted on contractor or consultants without the county receiving any deliverables, as well as data on the 93% employee turn over rate due to the severely hostile work environment provided by the Director of Procurement.

This hostile work environment is condoned by the CEO, and Deputy CEO of the County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors. This cruel and evil woman is more interested in controlling her people than in doing a good job for the County of Santa Clara. And many know it has cost plenty of taxpayer plenty of money!

One long time, former employee commented that she seemed to be trying to set the department up like a 'caste' system, with a social dynamic that isolated or rejected all but her 'true' followers. It is like she fancies herself the "Panchayat," treating most employees as 'sub-caste.' Declaring social intercourse is forbidden unless it is to her liking.

Subordinate community interaction is controlled and restricted by her. She demands allegiance to her wishes rather than competence to the job at hand. If not, she demeans employees until they leave an unbearable situation, or she fabricates a reason to terminate them.

Just ask yourself, "What gives a manager the authority to tell a county employee that they are not allowed to even speak to certain other co-workers?"
