I used PAF Shipping to ship freight in the summer of 2011.  I was charged for the load in amount of $608.33 to my credit card. There was NOT A SIGNED CONTRACT/AGREEMENT with them stating that I would have pay any additional charges for any reason on this shipment.

I had an ok experience with them the first time and so I set up another load with them to be shipped.  On this order, I did sign what is called a Freight Shipping Agreement stating that if there were any discrepancies in weight, freight class, etc., that I would need to pay the difference. I was charged on my credit card for this shipment when used.

I then signed and returned the above mentioned Freight Shipping Agreement for the first mentioned load up above on first shipment. Immediately after sending PAF this document, they went ahead, without authorization, and charged the second provided credit card for the first shipment, which they say acquired additional charges for over 175% of the initial fee charged, from the first shipper.

I called them to amend the issue and they told me I was out of luck and were not willing to work with me in the least.  They did say that I would have to provide a statement of correct weight, and or class, or a statement that no extra service wasperformed.  I did this and had zero response on the matter. I was out of luck as Dennis Gershman will not refund the money that they Fraudulently took from my bank account.  Dennis was very unpleasant to work with and offered absolutely no assistance to me with this incident.  

Fortunately after I went to my bank and filed a Fraud Claim, I was successful in retaining the funds that were Fraudulently charged to my credit card.  Banks don't take lightly to Fraud Claims and they ruled in my favor as it was VERY CLEAR that PAF was trying to bully me in this case!

Now it is in the new year of 2012.  I just received an email from them stating that the Original Discount has been Removed per the Terms & Conditions of THEIR Agreement.  Since the chargeback was successful that the bank credited back to me in the 175% additional charge, PAF decided that they were going to send me another bill for that charge plus the 'REGULAR', non-discounted rate, which comes to a WHOPPING 430% of the originally charged rate that was agreed upon by myself and PAF Shipping; AKA Pacifica Atlantic Freight, PAF Cargo, GRW Products Inc., and PAF Insurance.

BEWARE of the services that PAF says that offer.  They simply will not be honest with you regarding the charges that are going to be tacked onto your original agreement.  You need to make sure you READ THE AGREEMENT IN ITS ENTIRETY before you sign and return to them.  It says they have the right to charge you anything above and beyond that is neccessary, which is tacked on by their shippers that they contract with.  Fortunately I did not sign this form with them for the above mentioned shipment and was able to get the money back!!!
