Donald Lawrence apparently sent multiple emails to the business in the United Kingdom. I say that both because I never received the emails and because it is evident that they were sent to alan@trustmatters.com, an email address associated with the business in the UK. I do not know why they didn't respond.

While I never received the emails that were sent to the UK and subsequently posted in the Ripoff Report, I did learn through communications with other family members about the serious challenges Mr Lawrence was facing and followed up with him and other family members to develop a solution. Fortunately, other family members unanimously agreed to a preliminary distribution to Donald Lawrence. We were able to implement this shortly before the house was sold at auction.

Mr. Lawrence was very appreciative and sent the following thank you note to me, as trustee, and to the trust beneficiaries who had provided their consent. The text of the thank you email and the related email thread is shown here:

I know why I didn't respond. The reason is that I never received them. I wanted to present to you why it may seem like I am in a hurry to complete the sale of the property or to be bought out at a mutually agreeable price.  I am in a hurry due to financial matters. 
 
This economy is horrible for finding employment. 
 
Santa Cruz is rabidly horrible for employment and it usually runs 2 to 3 to 4 percent higher than the national unemployment statistics.  Santa Cruz usually runs 2 percent higher than the average unemployment statistics for California. 

 It is routine for licensed construction contractors to be gardening at 9 dollars an hour.  There are lines of 100 people or more to work at Starbucks when they have only one opening for a server.
 
All county agencies have frozen employment hiring as have independent mental health facilities, educational facilities and most businesses in Santa Cruz.  Seeking employment in Santa Clara and Monterey Counties is a dismal and nonproductive enterprise in reference to my skill sets. 

If you add the fact that I am 62 years of age it makes it improbable, if not impossible, that I will find any employment in Santa Cruz for quite a while. 
 
I have been through many employment services with no result: part time or full time in consideration of employment. 
 
As a function of the foregoing my property taxes have not been paid for several years and it is likely that my house will be placed on the County Auction list this next year.
 
No person I know of has ever accused me of being lazy.  I am not in any manner.  I am independent and entrepreneurial by nature and personality.  I like challenges in business or otherwise.   I possess several skill sets that are applicable to several employment or business situations.   
 
There is literally no employment of any kind in Santa Cruz. 
 
Nicolas and Derek have also been seeking employment for a while and they are encountering many of the problems that I have encountered with the exception of being 62 years of age. 

It is so bad that Nicholas is considering moving to Austin, Texas to seek employment.

He has been able to find no employment, or even offers of employment; this in spite of numerous functional attempts to become employed. I would use money from the buy out or sale of the
property to assist him move to Austin which is important to him. 
 
Katy had to look for a year or so to become employed in Porterville.
 
My hope is that we move forward with the sale of the property at the last established time line which I understand is the first or the end of September.

I had to finalize a reverse mortgage on August 13, 2012 with significant closing costs that I must pay.  This is because Trust Matters: Alan. Statman refused to respond to me across several months and to one return receipt letter.  He did not perform due diligence or act in accord with the covenants of the trust or within parameters of settlors' INTENT and DIRECTIVES to trustee of his estate. He has responded to none of my Communications for 2 months.
