This company is the absolute worst company in the world.  DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM ACURA.  They're overpriced pieces of s**t.  They treat you like garbage, refuse to talk to you.  The only thing that they will do is.  "where is our money?  when will you pay?  Why aren't you paying?  You're a loser for not paying."  I have been able to pay, but I decided that I wanted to try and get the payment down somehow.  I understand that it's not their policy to just do that willy nilly, but in a bad economy, companies do that in order to try and make the best of the situation.  I told them I'm going to have to stop paying unless they talk to me.  I've been trying to talk to them for months, they don't call you back, they treat you like s**t.

I've had Toyota, Ford, Chevy, and Acura.  Acura is BY FAR the worst, by a long shot.  If you want to get treated like sh*t, buy from them, but I STRONGLY suggest not doing it.

wow, pathetic.

AUTHOR: kimmy - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 16, 2012

Wow, I dont even know where to begin. First of all how is it Acuras fault that you cant continue to follow through with a financial commitment you willingly signed? Also your comparing Acura to Ford, Toyota and Chevy? How so? Acura is considered a highline vehicle, its clasified as a luxury car so its impossible to compare them. Yes I have heard of instances where for and toyota have made provisions to help some of its clients out but they also aknowledge that they are considered economy vehicles. Im sure their luxury lines such as lexus and ashton martin or jaguar do not have such provisions. Bottom line is whwn you sign that contract you agree to the terms which include paying a certain amount at a certain time. If the payment amount seemed unresonable u should not have entered into a legally binding contract, and I can assure you they will deffinately repo the car and regardless of how hard you try to hide it they will eventually find it and charge you for any damages the vehicle has sustained. In regards to the last comment complaining about acura and honda, it is evident just simply by your statements and language that you need to grow up and prior to posting any statement or rebutals it might be wise to assure that you are sober and can post a logical and informed comment as opposed to rediculouse rambling.

I agree

Yes I agree Honda/Acura is nothing but pieces of sh*t that sometimes get stuck the hair's on ones a*.
They suck and are way over priced. Gee we are suppose to be sorry for their plant in Japan, I feel sorry for the employees who makes pennies of the dollar to build such a piece of sh(t and Honda/Acura get's all the glory and money. They take a car and repo it , turn around and sell it again for a high price. For every Honda vehicle sold and repo'd they make a heavy profit. No wonder they did not need a bail out, the sell recycled vehicles... my words a*holes. and if a Honda Corporate Worker reading this , you should be f**king ashamed to work for a sham company.

Here is the funny thing, I am associated with Honda, boy are you guys in for a surprise.
F* C* Sniffing a*holes..... I hope you all die and go to hell,...

"When I had someone rob my family of $4,000" That wasn't nice. Why did you do that to your family?
"they will never rescind those blemishes"  History cannot be changed.

"only a SINGLE company ransacking his credit history"

That's the fault of the borrower not the lender.

"The lack of integrity is on the part of the person who refuses to empathise with those in need."

Wrong again. Lack of integrity is on the party that fails to honor their commitment, not the party that is opposed to altering a signed contract.

Integrity?

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, December 30, 2011

How is integrity related to being able to predict your financial situation for the next 5 years?  If you haven't noticed, there has been an economic crisis going on that has had an enormous adverse affect on many peoples' finances.

I, too, have been financially attacked by Acura Financial, when my baby was born, I was late on a payment and my credit score dropped 150 points!  When I had someone rob my family of $4,000 three months later, I was late on 2 payments and they said they will never rescind those blemishes, even after bringing my account up to date, because they will only rescind a credit blemish if you've made one late payment, ever.

Now when I want to trade in my current car for a cheaper one in order to get a much lower payment, guess who can't get financing to buy the cheapest car on the lot, with only a SINGLE company ransacking his credit history.

Corporations deal with people who live in an uncertain world.  Money is no excuse for a lack of cooperation with your customers.  Corporations should not excuse themselves for their sociopathy when it comes to dealing with humans who are going through their darkest hours.  The lack of integrity is on the part of the person who refuses to empathise with those in need.

Then you probably have "full coverage" insurance right?

Be a real shame if that "pos" got totalled...

One Question

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 04, 2011

"I've had Toyota, Ford, Chevy and Acura". Does that mean you've tried to stiff them all or is Acura the only one? Yep, go ahead and stiff Acura. They'll come repo the car. Then when you try and buy your next Toyota, Ford or Chevy, it gonna cost you twice as much cause your interest rate is gonna be sky high. But you'll have shown them who's boss.

Wow

I really hope that you are not serious about this.  But on the chance that you are I really don't know which is worse.  The thought that you could just change what you made a legal obligation to do just because you wanted to, or the fact that you actually came here and posted this as a ripoff.

If you continue to refuse to pay there is a word that you need to become quite familar with.  REPOSESSION, that's right they will take your threat of "I'm not going to pay unless they talk to me" and replace it with the "We are going to take your car if you don't pay".  The difference between those two threats.  They WILL follow through with theirs.

If you thought that car was overpriced, just wait until you have to try and get a car with a Reposession on your record.  You will be lucky if you can get a 10 year old POS from a sub-prime dealer/lender for the price you paid for that Accura.

By the way if you asked this of Toyota, Ford, Chevy or ANY finance company they would be giving you the exact same reaction.

You have no integrity

AUTHOR: coast - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, June 04, 2011

Integrity1,

Integrity should not be your name because you have none. You filed a rip off report because a finance company did not honor your request to lower the payments that you agreed to. YOU are guilty of the rip off.

You're kidding, right?

AUTHOR: Flynrider - (USA)

I have been able to pay, but I decided that I wanted to try and get the payment down somehow. "

So, you're able to pay what you agreed to pay, but you just don't want to.

"  I understand that it's not their policy to just do that willy nilly, but in a bad economy, companies do that in order to try and make the best of the situation. "

Not sure where you got that idea.   In the vehicle finance business, what they usually do is just reposess the vehicle.

I've had Toyota, Ford, Chevy, and Acura.  Acura is BY FAR the worst, by a long shot. "

I bet you didn't tell Ford, Chevy or Toyota that you decided not to pay what you agreed to pay.  They would have treated you the same way.    You need a reality check.

Acura probably doesn't have procedures for ths kind of thing.  Most people who buy them probably just honor their words and pay their bills, rather than not honoring their word and somehow determining that Acura is in the wrong for not just giving them their way...  If you can't pay, then you can't - but don't blame the victim.  It is not their fault you can't pay, and not their job to give you a free or discounted car.
