 The Associate group in Newport News is trying to collect a past debt of Hoa fees. I asked for the documents related to the debt and they have refused to respond to my request for several months. Virginia state law states they are supposed to let me see the books in 5 days of my demand. They have not even responded with a refusal or reason why I cannot see the documents. In going over the documents I have the debt is based on collections of real estate fees of $500 per year. I and 13 other homeowners have paid in or accumulated debt for over 10 years. However, the city treasurer shows the real estate taxes at $0. So I asked where has all our money gone. The hoa treasure stated to me at a board of directors meeting that the was some funny stuff going on with the hoa money. I asked her if it was some sort of embezzlement and she said it might be. I suggested filing with the police or attorney general and she didn't want to o that and is covering up the wrong doing. I called the associate hot line to let them know what was going on and contacted several investigative agencies and news reporters so other home owners can look closely at what they are being charges. There is a lot of hoa embezzlement going on Shortly after calling the Dallas hot line the Newport news office called me with threats of suing me for slander. This is retaliation for whistle blowing. I called the Dallas hotline and told them go ahead you big bullies - sue me- bring it on. The documents show there is something wrong here- the hoa treasurer admitted the might be embezlement or something funny with the money. The accounting is a mess which is a red flag for embezzlement. When I told the Newport news office that this is all red flags for embezzlement she went bezerk and threatened legal action for slander against me.

 I called the hotline about an issue- repeating what the hoa treasurer said at a board meeting. Your management did not contact me to in good faith look into the matter. They just called the same people who have not been answering phone called and now in retaliation will not let me have access to the recorfd I requested under the Virginia state code. I notice Stephanie responds to each ripoff report the same way. I did respond to her request- asking that they only contact me if they are trying to resolve the matter in good faith. I will report back to this site what happens next
