We purchased a used vehicle from a local dealer and he gave us a CARS Protection Plus Warranty and said it covered the first 3 months or 4500 miles, which ever occured first.  We had the vehicle approximately a month and I noticed a strange sound so I called the dealer and took it into them and they couldn't hear the sound when they drove it.  Approximately a month later it started making an even louder sound so we took it directly to the dealer and they put it on the lift and said the transfer case was cracked and told us it was covered under the warranty and told us which shop to have the repairs done.  

We took it to the repair shop and when the man put it up on the lift he said it was too dangerous for us to drive home and they took us home. He said if it broke completely we would have a really bad accident. The repair shop told us it would be a week before our car was repaired.  When I called the repair shop back the next week, they said they were still waiting to get authorization from CARS, so I called CARS and they told me they were waiting for a quote from the repair shop. I called the repair shop back and they told me they had faxed the quote earlier that morning and they would fax it again.  

I called CARS to see if they received the quote and they said they had, but they needed to send an "inspector" out to look at the car. The repair shop called and told us they talked to CARS and they believed CARS was going to try to get out of paying the repairs because it was $900 and they were sending an "inspector" to look at the car because they didn't want to believe what the repair shop was telling them. The next day CARS called us back and told us that they weren't going to cover the repairs for some reason or other and I could tell it was a bunch of bull. The warranty specifically says that the transfer case is covered, lubricated parts contained within the housing, and they are not trying to pay the claim. I called my dealer and they called CARS and the representative told my dealer he would call him back, but he never did.

The dealer basically told me that he knows the reason for denial is a bunch of bull and he's done with them. The dealer is not happy with CARS and he says he has given them thousands of dollars for car warranties and we are the first to ever file a claim. He says he will not ever give them another dime because of how they've done us. We have been without a vehicle for over 2 weeks and now we have to try and figure out how we're going to get this fixed. I am a single mother and I can't afford to buy another car and I shouldn't have to pay for repairs like this out of my pocket when CARS was paid upfront for a warranty they won't honor.

Your Representatives Lied

I had my vehicle repaired and the reason you gave for not repairing was that it was not properly lubricated. When we had the vehicle repaired they said you lied because it was properly lubricated and my dealer has tried to call you SEVERAL times and your company simply will not return their calls because you know you're liars. We will see you in court and we will be contacting the Attorney General because you will pay for the repair and you will pay for the time and inconvience you have caused me, my dealer, the second repair shop and my family.

You are not adhering to the contract we have

The contract we have clearly states: Automatic Transmission & Transfer Case (lubricated parts contained within the housing).  The very issue at hand is the transfer case which is cracked. We are under the mileage and the time specified in the contract and you are simply not honoring this contract. Even the dealer and repair shop is on our side. I talked to a friend of mine who also purchased a CARS warranty and wasn't satisfied. You rely on people paying you for warranties and the time or mileage running out and you simply pocket thousands of dollars banking on the idea that people don't cash in on their warranties.  You are simply being unfair and I looked your company up online and you have complaint after complaint where you have done the same thing to lots of other people.  You're simply being dishonest.
