Deborah Conrad lied and committed fraud

AUTHOR: ctcicorp - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, April 08, 2010

Dear Mr. King,

As the President of BB&T, I felt a responsibility to inform you of certain facts regarding the actions of one of your bank officers (specifically Deborah Conrad). Please know I have been banking personally and professionally with BB&T for over a decade. During that time I have enjoyed the honesty, integrity and professionalism your team has always displayed. It was these characteristics that kept us with the bank for so long. Our banker, John Murkey has always been a gentlemen and wonderful business colleague. The relationship was mutual and always based on trust. In fact, our company was highlighted as your customer of the year in one of your advertising campaigns.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the unacceptable, fraudulent and potentially criminal behavior of one of your bank officers. Deborah Conrad lied on several occasions to me personally, other shareholders and the ComputerTraining.edu Management team.

I thought you might like a few of the facts.

1. ComputerTraining.edu is required by each state to establish bonds for tuition refunds. Your bank officer, Deborah Conrad, deliberately took approximately $400,000 of these funds by intentionally misleading ComputerTraining.edus President and CFO that these would be used to teach out our classes. As soon as the State of Maryland released the funds, she confiscated them. We have already notified the Maryland Higher Education Commission of her behavior and are also informing the Maryland Attorney Generals office. To deliberately mislead a bank customer/LICENSED SCHOOL and defraud the State of Maryland of $400,000 that was set aside for students is a problem.

2. When we were notified on Christmas Eve that our line of credit was revoked, Deborah Conrad insisted we secure all of our assets (BB&T has first lien position). We have several emails that show her level of interest in the equipment we had at each campus. She instructed us to lock all of our locations and secure over 1,500 computers. This included locking out our employees. She said management would need to go around and supervise anyone coming back to get their personal belongings. If there was any vandalism I was going to be held responsible. I thought it was odd she asked me five separate times to write an email explaining how I was going to do all of this. Thank god I never wrote the email.

3. By revoking our line of credit, the company had no funds to operate. To make matters worse, Deborah Conrad informed me that the $2.8 million we had in accounts receivable would be confiscated by the bank to pay down our debt. We could not use the funds to teach out students or continue operations. Deborah Conrad claims the bank didnt close the company but think about it. Why else would we close? We spent 17 years of their lives building the school.

4. In addition to the accounts receivable, the company had $2.8 million set aside in restricted cash. Restricted cash was part of our bonding requirements and would have been refunded to the company had we taught out the students we still had in class. By revoking our line, we lost any opportunity to teach out the classes and use these funds to pay down business debt.

5. Another event that goes to show the lack of character Deborah Conrad displays is when she scheduled a meeting with our entire management team after the company was closed. When the ComputerTraining.edu management team showed up she had the banks counsel with her. At no time did Deborah Conrad inform us that the counsel was going to be present. To make matters worse, she introduced counsel as Oh, this David Fontana he works with the bank. She deliberately misrepresented who he was and why he was there. Deborah was shocked to see that I flew in from Florida as a loan gaurantor to attend the meeting. I walked in last. She scheduled the meeting with our Companys CEO and CFO and assumed I wasnt going to attend. When I walked in and asked specifically who this person was and why he was there she stumbled around trying to explain that we should have known counsel was coming because she had ccd him on the email she sent to Chuck Lang (our president). We ended up walking out of the meeting. Her behavior was despicable. We are filing a complaint with the Maryland bar regarding David Fontanas actions (he is your attorney). Mr. King, if you dont believe me ask your VP Ed Barker. Ive known Ed for 10 years. He was there for the event and I trust he will tell you the truth.

6. During this time, Deborah Conrad also spoke with Sallie Mae and told them she was working with us. The plan was to sell the company over the next 6 months and we needed BB&T to cooperate through the process. Sallie Mae was shocked by BB&Ts complete reversal. After speaking with Deborah, they were under the impression we were all moving forward (like the rest of us).

7. Only 30 days earlier, we engaged the BB&T Capital Markets Group to sell the company. They put a valuation on the company of somewhere between $10-15 million. Since we had 25 campuses that were all fully accredited, our company was of great value to online and accredited schools looking to expand their offering. Again, this makes no sense considering that BB&T would have profited from this transaction.

8. The $2.8 million in receivables and $2.8 million in restricted cash would have given us $5.6 million to teach out all of the classes. The actual cost to do so was only $2 million. Thats $3.6 that BB&T would have gotten back AFTER all of the students were taught out.

Let me ask you why would the company close the doors? The company would have been $3.6 million less in debt to BB&T by teaching out the classes.

Deborah Conrad deliberately caused this problem. She didnt take the time to listen to the facts. She made poor decisions that has caused a huge mess. At the end of the day I think she is simply evil. Deborah Conrads story does not add up.

I am offering to have an independent agency conduct a polygraph test. I think we should ask Deborah Conrad if she is willing to do the same.

As the President of BB&T, I thought you might want to know what some of your people are really doing. I find it hard to believe you would want your employees behaving this way. I stand nothing to gain by any of this. Deborah Conrads actions has already ruined my reputation. Deborah Conrad said she was working with us for months. The first time we met was Thanksgiving week. 30 days later on Christmas eve she closed our doors.

The defamation suit the bank filed is welcomed by our team. You will quickly find out that we have plenty of documentation and witnesses as to what I am saying in this letter. What she is saying doesnt even make sense. Its stupid.

We were all willing to go our own ways and move on. Once again, BB&T is making a terrible decision. This is going to be a public relations nightmare for the bank. As far as not writing any news agencies, or publishing the truth by using lawyers to compound BB&Ts lies it wont work. I will continue writing news agencies, spend time on television reports whatever until the truth is brought out. Remember, you have put me in this position.

Let me state for the record Deborah Conrad is a liar, fraud and potential criminal. Sue me. Its true. She is the one who made the decision to steal from our students.

Deborah Conrad is the one who made the decision to take funds from the State of Maryland. ComputerTraining.edu had been in business for 17 years. We were the largest and most successful Microsoft IT Academy in the country. Our thousands of graduates enjoyed an 83% placement rate within 90 days of graduation. All of our campuses were nationally accredited. Our past history will prove we ALWAYS TAUGHT OUT OUR STUDENTS when closing a campus.

Ironically, we lost $3.6 million. Or should I say BB&T lost $3.6 by not teaching out the classes. When this is all over and the dust settles Deborah Conrad wont be able to get a job at any bank. Once the facts come out in this case not only will she be embarrassed but so will the bank. Needless to say everyone is extremely disappointed.

Unfortunately, your employee has put us in a situation where we have to respond. People are posting pictures of my children on websites due to her negligence.

Everyone thinks we took the students money. Why dont you tell the truth?

I have not taken students money

I took out a $1.5 million mortgage last summer to put funds into the company

There were $5.6 million in funds to teach out the classes available Deborah Conrad lied.

There were funds to make payroll Deborah Conrad lied.

And best part is. WE CAN PROVE ALL OF THIS! Sincerely, David L. Rau (loan gaurantor)

To #19, if "Owner of the Company" is the default... its funny how you noticed to change it in your rebuttal.

If only you would pay attention to detail, maybe CTC would still be open. Maybe if you took a look in the mirror you'd notice this is your fault too. Rather you're David, Chuck, Donna, Curtis, or any other member of senior management, THIS IS YOUR FAULT! No need to try to persuade other to think differently...

If I were you I'd stop talking on here too, because "us" REAL employees have caught you yet AGAIN! Keep running, keep hiding, but rest assured this isn't over!

I'm praying for your mercy...this isn't pretty! I hope you get everything that is coming to you EVERYTHING!!

OK - I did look in the mirror

AUTHOR: formeremployee - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, January 22, 2010

OK Im not John but I am a former employee and I thought I would take your advice.

I did stand away from the keyboard and took a good look in the mirror and I liked what I saw.  I saw a former employee who believed in the dream more than the management did.  I saw someone who went to work every day and tried their best to help students achieve goals.  I saw someone who can proudly hold their head up amidst the destruction because I did everything to advance the goals of this company and nothing to contribute to its ruination.  I saw someone who used to take pride in saying that they worked for ComputerTraining.edu.  I saw someone who held a student as they cried on the final night of class and tried to assure them that they would be OK.  I saw a person who answered their phone when students and their loved ones called with questions in those final days.  I saw a person who did not break legal, ethical, and moral contracts and commitments.  I saw someone who does not have to spend the next ten years explaining the last one.

Why are you so upset about the anger of the victims?  If someone promised you an honest days pay for an honest days work, would you not be upset if they reneged?  If you used your life savings or your grandmothers life savings to pay for a dream and someone stole that dream would you not be distressed?  Do you truly not have any idea how many people were hurt by the sudden closing of this business? America loves entrepreneurs.  To infer that you are being attacked because you took an entrepreneurial risk is absurd.  Take ownership of your actions and stop acting like a victim.  You are upset about the rumors.  The rumors are there because you did not provide answers to the hard questions that were being asked when this was happening.  You hid like a coward and were nowhere to be found.  You are being attacked because you broke contracts and laws.  The PA AG is not coming after you to advance his career he is coming after you because he felt that you should have known more about the dire circumstances of your own company.  What good is an MBA if you cant read your own financial statements?  The anger that is directed at you is legitimate and warranted.  But, your victims will move and you will spend years with this.  So, take you own advice about looking into the mirror.

#16 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Suspicions, the grassy knoll and bigfoot

AUTHOR: onewhoknows - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, January 22, 2010

Of course anyone who dares defend or rebut the anonymous rants on this site must be the actual target of those attacks...but no, I am neither Mr. Rau, a member of the company or his family....please file those suspicions away with your scholarly views regarding the Kennedy assassination and  the existence of Bigfoot.

Once again, I offer the folowing advice :

                            stand away from the keyboard,

take a good look in the mirror,

                            don't like what you see,

go outside, take a deep breath,

make a better and more positive

plan for the rest of your life.

When planes land safely, it is not news. The demise of Computertraining is certainly news. The legal system tends to get involved at times like this, often as a result of less than altruistic motives. Rest assured that David Rau and others who may be involved will decide the proper course of action to make sure the truth comes out..TRUTH, the best defense, right ??? I say that rhetorically, because it appears that most of the posters on this site are determined not to let the truth get in the way of a cathartic rant emanating from their self absorbed determination that they have been victimized.  If someone has actually taken an entrepreneurial risk and succeeded, then they MUST be punished, right?? - whether they are guilty of wrongdoing or not..

No sir, while Mr Rau has every reason to rebut the anonymous sniping that appears here on a daily basis, he probably has more important matters to address ( taking care of his family??? Protecting his children from harassment spurred by the these daily diatribes ??)

I am neither a company nor family member. Jut one who knows that the time has come to act as a "BS detector" on this site - a site which has refused to police itself regardless of what "Step 1" of the posting process attempts to portray.

Once again, repeat after me: step away from the keyboard,

take a good look in the mirror.....

An Open Letter to John in Memphis

AUTHOR: onewhoknows - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Hey John,

Don't you think its about time to step away from your computer for a few minutes, go outside, take a look at the Memphis sun and get some fresh air ( and possibly ideas) about how you are somehow going to move on with your otherwise empty life??  You have obviously been camped for days monitoring and contributing to the venomnous BS being spewed about a company that somehow succeeded for 17 years and ( according to the popular opinion here, apparently) decided to self destruct, leaving its life's breath ( that's students to you John - don't mean to be so obtuse) out in the cold and the school doors shut to any further revenue. Do you really think the management of this company is taking any comfort in the fact that computertraining  was otherwise healthy and growing until SallyMae decided that greener pastures existed in merely processing loans rather than guaranteeing them. Where's the solace, or payoff for that, John ??

I see photos of the management, photos of the bankers, and the scurrilous rumors bantered about, and after all is said and done, while this site has perhaps rightfully provided students a chance to vent, it has also unfortunately catered to  bitter and apparently disenfranchised ex-employees and you John, satisfying some prurient desire to take glee in the difficulties of a once successful company that, apparently foolishly in the opinion of the PA Attorney General, attempted to grow its way out of its financial problems. Last time I checked, Chrysler is still building cars through the work of employees who might be out of a job if the cars don't sell or the government bailout money gets shut off.

John, please find the shut off valve for your out of control and vitriolic rhetoric. Let's watch the PA Attorney General maneuver in his apparent early bid for Governor, let the legal system sort it out and see if there really are any truly bad guys here. My guess is that when the sun shines on the truth, what will be revealed is that a once successful company was tripped up by forces beyond its control, tried to right the ship for as long as possible, at which time the banks made a business decision and shut it down. Unfortunately the current students may have been hurt. Unlike you however John, I'm betting that those students will do what's necessary to try to be made somewhat whole out of this situation and then move forward with their lives....I can only wish you do the same before you regret the time and energy you've wasted here. Good Luck, John.

Give us a break. Not one member of the senior management team has spoken publicly as to how and why CT collapsed. That weasly excuse letter posted to the website was pathetic.

I seriously doubt these guys will be collecting unemployment anytime soon. Their accumulated bonuses will soften the fall I'm sure.

The students money went somewhere during those final weeks. The AGs will track down whose pockets were lined with their money.

You are all wrong, Mr. Darlington

AUTHOR: Ex-Employee Hunt Valley - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, January 18, 2010

Okay Mr./Ms. Employee from Darlington...

The fact that I am replying to this response on this site is ridiculous...and no matter what the response, there are people who will not understand the truth. The facts here are not even correct.

What gives you the idea that Chuck, Curtis, David and the rest of the management team were trying to hurt the employees of the company that they built for 17 years?

Is that a sick sort of a joke?  Open your self-centered mind for a minute and try to digest the truth...

This makes no sense...why would they close down a successful company that was making money?

Do you think that anyone on the management team is better now with the company closed?

Why would they not want to pay back their employees? Why would they not want to pay themselves? Did you not read that the bank accounts were frozen and that their hands were tied?

The people on the management team and the shareholders have lost their jobs, their homes, their lives...

Why would people who risked their lives and their family's futures take joy in the fact that the employees were hurt? And most importantly, why would they EVER risk the futures of their students, upon which their company was built.

If you really were an employee and really had any knowledge about the management at all, you would know they were all solid people and would always stand by their word and by their employees and most importantly, their students.

Make up whatever stories you want, you only look like a fool.

Finally! These dogs may get their day!

AUTHOR: Disappointed Employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, January 18, 2010

Wow! It's great to hear that someone inside this train wreck of a company is willing to tell the truth.  The first rebuttal was obviously written (and very well might I add!) by a member of the ex-management team.  The truth will set you free and it seems to be doing just that.  I would like to add ... instead of the Senior Management Team (David & Chuck & potentially Curtis) wasting time on the smear campaign against BB&T, try spending your time trying to assist the students & past graduates back the money you owe them!  Yes, past graduates... I hope the states & State Attorney's office looks into the policies of the past graduates for the entire 2009 year.  Check the refunds too!!!

First of all, this sounds like a mafia business deal gone bad!  Guys, don't be mad now that you failed to do your jobs... You loved BB&T when they were funding your cash cow. You obviously failed, Management 101 - Watch the bottom line! Your inability to manage your resources & frivolous spending caused this failure. Don't blame BB&T for not continuing to fund your train wreck.  They seen the hand writing on the wall. They obviously have a real management team with the ability to forecast and project earnings/losses.

Your desperation was showing by the decisions to change tuition 4 to 5 times in one year. This is not management, but a crap shoot!

As for the past employees that are now struggling with trying to rebound from this slap in the face; Senior Management (David & Chuck & Curtis) you need to help them recover their lost wages.  The students will get their money from the states, but what about the employees? Maybe the State Attorney's office should look into your personal finances as well.  Recent home sales (David & Curtis!) If you have given the employees your "insider information" we could have prepared our selves as well! Maybe we all could rent a room in David's mansion.

David, Chuck, Curtis --- be men for once and think of the employees you burned!  Get off your @$$ and get us our money! Trust me, we will gladly confirm any information that the State Attorney's office needs. PA, MD, DE, VA, GA, MA, IL, IN, KS, WI, MN, OH Pleeeaassseeee call the employees!!!

State of Pennsylvania launches the first attack

AUTHOR: Too sad . . . - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 14, 2010

PA Attorney General is going after CT - for good reason.  Hopefully we'll see 10 or more states follow suit - although PA was always the most stringent.

Clearly a cowardly posting by the inept ComputerTraining 'senior' management.

AUTHOR: Too sad . . . - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 14, 2010

To all readers of this original RipOffReport posting and affected by ComputerTraining.com/.edu -

Many of the postings found on RipOffReport are wrong, unjust, and cowardly.  For this reason, I have long resisted bringing myself down to the level of 'dabbling in the dirt.'  However, this posting is so truly dispicable that it simply cannot be ignored.  It is just wrong in so many ways:

-  The worst and most glaring violation here is from a personal decency and morality perspective - and the person choosing to post the intimate personal details of these bank employees clearly has neither.  It is a crazy world out there today, and potentially being an enabler of poor actions and behavior by disgruntled individuals through this type of posting is an absolute irresponsible, cowardly, vindictive - and potentially criminal - act.  You encourage someone to knock on the front door of John's home, and if he's not there ask for his 'lovely wife'???  Absolutely appalling! The pictures were a nice touch, though, Chuck and David.  I sincerely hope that the RipOffReport site administrator does the right thing and removes John and Deborah's detailed information.

-  Senior management of ComputerTraining continually discussed ways to discredit RipOffReport and address the statements made on this site.  However, when things got too hot for them, it is interesting that they themselves chose to utilize this forum for their own smear campaign.  Who else would know such intimate details of their bank partners?  Always wondered if hypocrisy was Chuck's middle name.

-  The bankers are the liars, thieves, and frauds?  If there was no ill-intent on the part of the school's management, why did they stop paying bills and receive eviction notices from landlords in December for being three months in arrears?  Somehow I don't think John and Deborah from BB&T were in charge of writing rent checks.

-  When dialing the school's 800 number, callers are now met with a recorded message from the company's former president, Chuck Lang.  Chuck's message will tell you that CT was shut down "due to circumstances beyond our control." What?  The President of the company feels he cannot control the destiny of his organization?  Actually, that's exactly what he is unwittingly admitting.  The correct statement should really have been "due to circumstances beyond our ability."  Denial is a dangerous thing, but acceptance can be liberating.

-  Chuck's recording goes on to openly blame the bank, even commenting on their receipt of TARP money.  I don't get it . . . BB&T's receipt of this money affects CT how exactly?  For those of you non-finance people (yes - you too, Chuck and David), look it up on Wikipedia for a good description in layman's terms and see why you think this matters.  Maybe Chuck is referring to the fact that one goal was to increase banks' abilities to start lending money again, but I would certainly think that would be only to companies who would be good investments.  Since Chuck puts all of the blame on the bank for CT's closing, and banks would seemingly never opt out of a situation that was making them money, doesn't it seem to follow that BB&T never exercised any ability-to-lend gained from TARP simply because CT was not a good investment?

It is important that everyone affected by ComputerTraining's closing understand exactly to where their frustration and anger should be directed.  It is not the bank's fault (Mr. Lang).  It is not the employees' fault (Mr. Lang - even though you so poetically told them to 'blame themselves' at one point in time).  The decisions that led to CT's failing - and the way that it failed - was the direct result of the principles, actions, and decisions by a select few.

The overwhelming majority of employees at ComputerTraining - specifically those with whom students and their families came into contact - were not part of the company's problems.  They were, instead, the unrecognized solution.  The men and women who worked hard for students - either in enrolling, teaching, or employing them - really believed in what they did and took pride in student results.  They also tried their best to keep the company on the right path despite the actions of those several levels above them.  What do they get in return - no notice, no pay for their last month worked, no severance, no continuation of benefits, no references for future employment.  So many good people and leaders - too many to name - affected to different degrees by inept, unethical management.

To current students - please read your Enrollment Agreement and Student Handbook thoroughly, and, if you haven't already, contact your lender and your state's Department of Education right away.  Additionally, you should contact your local Better Business Bureau, State Attorney General's office, and favorite local TV station's investigative news reporter to inflict some of your own personal justice on the people who are to blame.  And, sincerely, best wishes.  You made a solid decision to move forward in your life.  Do not let this unfortunate setback be the end of that endeavor.

You just don't know when to stop lying do you?

AUTHOR: BewareemployeeCTE - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 07, 2010

Give it up Chuck, David, Donna, and whomever is low enough to continue to lie and try to cover up.

What is being said here and on the computertraining.com/edu website, is just pathetic.

Obviously a bank can not force you to lock campus doors of buildings you lease, not own; then force you to notify students only by email. If you had any ethics, you could open the doors and speak to people or let employees gather things with no trouble, since the leases had already been paid through at least the full month of December on the remaining campuses.  Unless, you expected the bank to give you more money to pay yourselves to be there and do so. You might have already stopped paying your employees but you sure collected enough pay to do the right thing and be responsible.

Of course the bank had no choice but to deny you more credit after you proved for at least the past year, that you could not manage funds properly.

The bank didn't force you to lie to your employees up till the last day and tell them the company was not closing.

You miss-spent money and miss-managed the company, not the bank. The bank didn't make you spend an insane amount of money on your own pay, bonuses, travel, hotels, the spa, and pizza for sales pitch meetings to potential students.

You would have much more class at this point, to just go away quietly instead of continuing to defend the mess you made.

Chuck Lang, it was hilarious to watch you run from the abc 2 news camera when they came to the door of ComputerTraining headquarters.  We all could see that was you and if any of what was said here or on the computertraining.com/edu website was true, you should be man enough to say it in front of the camera.

CTC stop lying and get the students & employees their money

AUTHOR: Disappointed Employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 07, 2010

Come on CTC, I know someone very high up at CTC wrote the previous post!  All of your sloppy, shady mafia-like dealings are finally coming out!  Now that everything has hit the fan, you are turning on the very same people that helped you to do your dirty work and pay your outrageous salaries!  All of your secrecy, hiding behing closed doors and refusing to communicate with employees about the truth is finally coming back to haunt you.

Stop this childish tattling and admit to your wrong doings!  I don't feel bad for the "investors" and David for "losing his house" (yeah right!). David try standing in an unemployment line waiting on your $400/week and see if you can make your mortgage payment!

This company knew well in advance what was happening and the management involved had a chance to get their money!  I am quite sure you all have the ability to recover and move on to the next scam!  You left the students and employees high & dry to save your own @$$!

I have no respect for any of the CTC Management Team - you will get what you deserve!  What you need to do now is to get the students and the employees their money!

The Facts: BB&T Not to Blame

AUTHOR: Former CT Employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 06, 2010

ComputerTraining.com reads:

"On Christmas Eve, ComputerTraining.edu was shut down by BB&T bank..."

FACT:

BB&T is a bank and does not have the power to shut down a company.

"...and forced to close all schools and corporate offices with no forewarning or notice to students, creditors, employees, management or shareholders..."

FACT:

BB&T worked with CT for months to balance the negative financial situation.

"...They also instructed Computertraining.edu to lock down all locations and not allow employees access to collect personal belongings. This request stunned the ComputerTraining.edu management team who refused to comply..."

FACT:

CT leased all buildings, therefore they are not an asset.  BB&T can't instruct CT to lock buildings.

"...Regardless of the fact that there were sufficient funds to do so, BB&T decided not to pay ComputerTraining.edu employees..."

FACT:

There are not sufficient funds to pay employees which is why accounts were frozen.

"Regardless of the fact that there were sufficient funds to do so BB&T decided not to...keep training centers open to allow enrolled students to complete their schooling..."

FACT:

The decision to keep centers open was not BB&T's to make.  The accounts did not have sufficient funds.

BOTTOM LINE:

CT's owner and management made the decision to close based on the poor financial state they were in.  BB&T representatives tried for months to rectify this situation.

CT's accusations against BB&T  and the bank representatives named above are defamatory. Publishing personal information (home addresses and phone numbers) is just malicious.

whoever posted this ought to be a shamed of themselves. How can the bank be responsible? posting their contact information sure looks like a desperate cry from someone that is panicked. You should be scared, though, because none of ex-employees or students will take this lying down.

Blame Yourself

AUTHOR: Former Employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 06, 2010

Also, banks never want to go through this process. They actually lose money from doing so.  When you don't make your payments to your creditors, they have to have you provide them a business plan to show how you might be able to make your payments in the future.

I am going to choose to believe my CTE coworkers and go with my own knowledge: you were given a chance to present a decent business plan and you failed.  The bank was just abiding by the terms of the loan.  It isn't their fault that you continued to take money from students even though you knew your assets were going to be seized.

If I were BB&T, I would have threatened to freeze your assets upon hearing about the brilliant idea to buy the audits and entire classes dinner every night. I would have frozen your assets upon hearing about the lavish trips and gifts you presented to a very small fraction of your employees.

Stop blaming others. Blame yourself.
