I was contacted on my cell phone April 2012 by Countrywide Periodicals claiming my name was chosen for entry into a Million dollar drawing. In the meantime I will be receiving a diamond and quarts watch just for saying yes to purchase three magazines. Also as a finalist in this  drawing I will recieve four magazines free of charge for two years. They said it would be $!6.00 per month. Later as time progressed, and I had spoken to three other "Supervisors" and they had supposedly recorded the  whole conversation. I gave them my debit card number, like a fool and was asked for the security numbers on the back of the card. I was luckily distracted and failled to do so. Then on closing comments this woman gave my a phone number so fast I was unable to make note of it. I listened a while longer to her and then she said they would take the money from my account today and again in one month for the next 16 months.  I was rather suprised at the longevity of the withdrawls and the real shock came when she said the payments would be $49.16 for 16 months....thats $786.56! For Magazines? I don't think so. They also tried to get a liitle more money for an "Entertainment " package. I declined that item.   First thing the next morning, I went to my bank with my daughter who actually is my overseerer and closed my account. They wont be getting that kind of money from me. If I receive the watch I will be surprised after what I have read.  After hanging up last night I told my daughter about what went on and thats when we decided to close the account and stop them before more damage was done. While we were talking I missed two more phone calls from them probably wanting that security code from the back of the card. It is just to bad there are folks out there praying on the elderly and victimizing the rest of the public in order to thicken their wallets from less fortunate people.
