Energy Plus and holdings Another Rip off electrical company. They suck the light out of you. philadelphia, Pennsylvania

My husband is a hard working man that is supporting a family of 5. We got a pamphlet in the mail and was promised 7.9 cent per kw and Jet Blue points. We almost had a heart attack when we received our first bill. They actually charged us 12. cents per Kw. Our bill was over $600.00 and we live in a 1400 sq ft. We contacted Energy Plus and asked them what on earth did they do to us. They told us that they lock in a futures contract for a certain price so that they have to pass it on to us. We told them to get us OFF their plan. Our electric co PPL also called them for us and told them to remove us. We have been over our heads now with trying to pay off that bill. We went on budget billing but noticed that our bill has NOT gone down. We contacted PPL again and one of their workers told us that if we dont keep Energy Plus then our bill would be even higher. We just now received another bill for over $1200.00 and saw that Energy plus actually put themselves BACK on our plan without our knowledge. I do not trust PPL because they should have told us that this is why our bill was so high. We also noticed that Energy Plus is charging us 18. cents per Kw. We are done with these electric companies trying to take advantage of hard working families. We will take this ALL the way to the top if need be. We also told PPL that we needed to get help with this bill so they told us that we could sign up to get help. Meanwhile PPl took it upon themselves and removed us from budget billing. It is about time that the people make a stand and tell these electrical companies that we will NOT be taken advantage of any longer.
