Claim#035674544-0101-012 On Saturday June 18 my husband Ricardo was side swiped in Prescott AZ by Danielle Johnson we hadn't heard from her in 1 month so we called her insurance and found out that she had not reported the accident so we had Geico open a claim. After numerous attempt to contact her to the number provided and no reaponse we stayed in comunication with Geico they too had no luck contacting there insurer Lesie Johnson or Danielle Johnson. They told me they had hevy Malibu she was driving had no plates he wrote down the whole Vin# to the vehicle. I just feel this is so unfair having to spend money on an expense that would have never occured has she taken responsibility. A expense that took away from my 4 chikdren. All I want Geico to do is reimburse me for the Deductable that I had to pay out of my pocket and pray they don't do this to anyone else.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Call your insurance company
AUTHOR: Insurance Professional - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, September 08, 2011
It sounds like your insurance company handled the damage to your car - since you mention a deductible you had to pay.
Call your insurance company and ask them for the status of their efforts to recover their payments and your deductible from Geico. It is your insurance company's responsibility to get their money and your deductible back from Geico -- it is called subrogation. If your insurance company believes the evidence supports the Geico driver being at fault, and Geico denies the claim, your insurance company can take Geico to arbitration to seek reimbursement. Geico is a member of Arbitration Forums, and the arbitration decision is binding.
Good luck!
