For some time I have been in charge of following long time felon Lyon Hamilton of Princeville, Hawaii. Lyon grew up in the small town of Princeville on the island of Kauai. His dad Billy Hamilton was a soul surfer and huge legend on the island. His status wasn't only from surfing though. It was also for his ability to get drugs into the islands from Peru and Columbia. Meth, Cocaine, and Marijuana were imported into the islands inside Bill Hamiltons Surfboards. Lyon's brother Laird Hamilton was a pro surfer who fell under the worlds magnifying glass from the big waves he rode. Today he is a waterman and a fitness guru that celebrities of all types flock too. Growing up Lyon was always tried to step out of the shadows of his older brother Laird. This fell short when he picked up his father old habits. Lyon entered the dark world of drug trafficking, dealing, and prostitution. He was Hawaii's first real drug cartel. Lyon was growing Marijuana in his banana fields, pedaling Oxy Cotton, and running a prostitution ring on the islands. Eventually, his business expanded to Meth and Cocaine. Lyon didn't care if you were friend or family as long as he was doing his job. Lyon expanded his business to the mainland (California) with longtime and San Diego Drug Kingpin John Riddle. Riddle also owned a house in Hawaii. In the year 2000 Crime caught up with Lyon Hamilton and he was convicted of 3 counts: (Count 1- Promoting a dangerous drug in the third degree), (Count 2 - Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia), (Count 3 - Promoting A Detrimental Drug in the third degree). His partner John Riddle was convicted to 9 years in Prison.

Lyon Hamilton was sentenced to 1 year in Prison and 5 years probation

After getting out of jail and forced to live a clean life Lyon married Amy J. Hamilton. Lyon's probation was lifted and life seemed to be back on track. Lyon was using his brothers fame to get jobs and meet people. He tried to gain credibility off his brothers well being. Although, people didn't know Lyon was the black sheet of the family. No one wanted anything to do with him. Not his dad nor his brother Laird. Lyon had no skills and no education and fell back into crime. Him and his surfer friends fell into the Oxy Cotton craze that swept the islands. Lyon was the main distributor and had all his friends hooked. In a rage one night he was arrested for Domestic Abuse against Amy J. Hamilton (Wife). In 2007 Lyon was arrested and issued with a restraining order.

Only 3 months later Lyon was arrested again for Harassment, Unlawful Entry, and Abuse of family and household members. Lyon was collecting on some drug debts like any Cartel would.

Lyon was becoming a monster. His wife feared him and ended up filing for a divorce in 2008. Can you blame her?

After a long career in drugs Lyon finally gained fame but not in the spotlight he probably wanted. Lyon was hated by every surfer and surf fan that knew who he was. Lyon played a role in the death of World Champion Surfer Andy Irons. Andy was hooked on Oxy Cottons in result of Lyon Hamilton doing what he does best.
In 2010 Andy flew home from a contest and died in a Texas hotel. The Tarrant County Medical Examiners Office concluded that Andy died from a cardiac arrest due to a sever blockage of a main artery of the heart. The second cause of death was "acute mixed drug ingestion," listing alprazolam, methadone, benzoylecogonine (a metabolite of cocaine), and traces of methamphetamine.

Even after the loss of his friend in 2010 Lyon is still going large today. He has ruined tens of thousands of lives including friends and families. He uses his family's credibility and careers to gain "ins" with people. He is unemployed aside from paintings he attempts to sell. He is also unemployed.
