I ordered a 4.2L V6 engine for my 1997 Ford F150 pick up truck. Not only that the are the most expensive ones, but also they are the ones who know very well how to lie to you to get you to buy something they don't have to begin with.

I paid about $1300 for the engine which is very expensive, but they told me that it had 78k miles on it which I found out later that it was a lie.

The engine came on time, but it was a 3.8L Mustang engine which does not fit. I refused it because it was the wrong engine. The company contacted me and told me that the engine will fit and they will redeliver. The engine was picked up from a junk yard in NC not from their company in FL as I was told. It's very funny that I was told that the engine has been tested and in running conditions by the engineers who work for that company in FL, but guess what, the engine came out of a car that is in NC and never seen FL.

I called them and asked them nicely to return the engine, but theyu told me that I will be charged for shipping, restocking feee, and handeling fee. That is about %50 of my money or even more. I had an option to give them back their engine and get a different engine from them, but I no longer trust this company. This company is made up of bunch of jerks who do not know what they are doing and they want to scam me. Are they crazy to think that I am goin to pay $1300 for a 3.8L engine that can picked up for $200 from any junk yard here?

Making long story short, I couldn't communicate with their customer service because what I am saying is the truth and truth hurts sometimes. They started throwing false accusation against the shop I took my truck to have the engine installed in. It's so funny that they told me that my shop is gonna scam me to get me to buy an engine from them. In fact, my shop has been in business for over 60 years and the shop doesn't sell engines anyway.

I took pictures of the engine and have a copy of all the emails they sent to me. All that will be provided to the investigator which my bank assigned to follow up the dispute I filed with them to get my money back, let alone that I have been without a truck for two weeks to find out after that that I have been ripped off by this fly by night company.

Now they have 30 days to return my money, or else the bank will return it, and they have to come to court since I am filing a lawsuit against them.

Be aware, and never ever order any thing from this company. They will rip you off.

Thanks,

These types of complaints are unfortunate but they do appear online but many times there is no opportunity to reply. The incident involving the incorrect engine being delivered and not picked up is an example of mis-information. This company has operated for many many years, has an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau, and is the preferred supplier for some of the biggest automotive part retail companies in the country. The complaint in question was denied NOT because the engine was an incorrect size. The main reason an engine is refused for return is when the mechanic installing the part fails or refuses to follow the installation instructions we email to them and mail to them (when applicable). In many situations (like this) where the customer never gives the mechanic the necessary documents to properly install their replacement engine. If an engine is installed with replacing certain components the odds of it failing or having issues increases.

We value every customer and appreciate their business but some feel that if they destroy a part it is our responsibility to give them another when we provided them with a quality part the initial time. If anyone researches Nationwide Parts or any other engine, transmission, or cylinder head supplier they will find the they all have sold a defective part...but so has Microsoft, Apple, and Dell. But Nationwide Parts has over half a million satisfied customers, Nationwide Parts is the preferred supplier of multiple national chains. and Nationwide Parts is one of the few companies that records every order to ensure accuracy and to document what the customer is being informed and what they agree to.

This situation was one where the customer found a cheaper engine and no longer wanted the one they ordered from us. During the order the on the terms and conditions it states that "if an order is cancelled after the part has been shipped freight and restocking fees may apply. This is why people attack us in Rip-off report because the Better Business Bureau was shown the full transparency of the transaction and the dispute is dismissed and they are refused a charge back because the company wasn't at fault. Either way businesses do make mistakes but our longevity, credibility, and over half of a million satisfied customers say a lot for our business model and ethics.
