New Energy Works Timber Frame Pioneer Floors and woodwork Took Money From Honest Homeowners and Ripped Us Off Farmington, New York

This company does a lot of slick advertising. They lured us in with big promises and outright lied to us about their timeliness and interest in "going green" as we had indicated we wanted to be with our anticipated Timber Frame for our renovation and new addition.

They took approximately 40% of their fees UPFRONT and then gave us the shaft thereafter. The game playing and outright unprofessionalism was both confusing and insulting for a first-time homeowner who had thought they were going to be doing business with someone who was professional and actually cared about their product and service.

They took from August of 2005 to MAY of 2006 to produce plans that were only 1500 square feet! This was a simple, straight forward addition that they were commissioned to create for us with their supposed "in house" Architect who could not get his own measurements and scale correct on the drawings!

We were reduced to pleading for these plans, as we had missed out on the Spring building season, and our own builder had to abandon us for a project that was ready with their plans.

The wretchedness of the behavior of New Energy Works is beyond description. They played games, and the "Architect" was no more than a lazy Draftsman who was as unreliable as a 1970 Ford Pinto. We were outright abused, and money was demanded UPFRONT before they would send us their 'final' drawings which were a MESS as they were hand-written on all over the place. The "Architect" in-house was apparently fired or some kind of parting of ways, but we were left to still deal with this bad Architect to deliver a messy, out-of-scale, nonsensical set of plans that cost a fortune.

The owner of New Energy Works, to add insult to injury, thought it was funny with a chuckle when we informed him that the plans took so long that our own Builder had to abandon the project since we had nothing for the Springtime and our Building Department takes a few weeks to approve plans.

To be laughed at and then  to be told by "Jonathan" the owner that he no longer "had time" to build the Timber Frame that we had been sold on having his firm design and then build was the Icing on the Cake!

These people are totally dishonest, manipulative, and see the lowly "homeowner" as a punching bag to be abused and then discarded when they see fit. 

They took our money, and then produced a piece of trash that could not possibly work as a Timber Frame and we were forced to have a completely different company re-design the Timber Frame. 

The time and the horrifying abuse and neglect by this company deserve the attention of all Homeowners, and all Consumers.
