Beware when ordering from SALON SUPPLIES DIRECT who are trading under a similar name as an already established hair and beauty supplier.

I placed an order with salon supplies direct on 23/07/2014 and after 3 days I had not received any confirmation that my order had been dispatched.

I contacted salon supplies direct on 25/07/2014 using the email address provided on the website, help@salonsuppliesdirect.com. I asked them if my order had been dispatched and told them that if it has not been dispatched to cancel the order and provide a full refund as it would not be delivered on time and therefore would be no use to me. I did not receive a response.

I received a confirmation my order had been dispatched on 28/07/2014 after my email clearly asked them to cancel the order. I had still received no response and by 30/07/2014 I had still not received my order.

I emailed salon supplies direct again on their alternative email address ms@miteshsoma.co.uk provided on the World Pay confirmation email I received on 30/07/2014. I received a response the same day stating that they have had technical difficulties and that my order should have been with me that day, they also told me that the bulb I ordered was not in stock and that they had provided a refund for the bulb. I emailed them back asking why they had not notified me before sending the order out or acklowledged my email requesting cancellation. They did not respond.

I have now paid £5.95 for two small low value items to apparently be sent out which to date I have still not received. It is now 02/08/2014.

Salon Supplies Direct have made false claims on their website stating that orders will be dispatched by Royal Mail 1st Class or Parcel Force and that orders will be delivered within 3 days. I mentioned this is my previous email and they have since changed this statement and added a disclaimer to the website. This says to me they have received all my emails and that they are just ignoring them. It also states on their website that email is the quickest way to get in touch with them and that they promise to answer all emails in 4 hours.

I have now contacted my credit card company and trading standards. I would not recommend this company to anyone, I believe it is a fraudlant website so beware of this and dont make the same mistake I did and don't confuse them with another company under the name Direct Salon Supplies who I usually order from.
