Don't let Terry Bowerstock of Terry's Consign and Design Furnishings fool you. She admits to being on the board of many charities. Terry figured that she could run consignment stores and donate furniture to her charities. Problem is she will "donate" your furnishings without your knowledge. I went to her Kennesaw store to schedule a pickup and was told to come back a week later (after my contract had ended). When I returned, a week later, my $1,500 mahogany desk was gone -- "donated" as they put it, to a no-name non-profit. Obviously, a non-profit that Terry is in control of. Is this not a conflict of interest here? I complained to the manager of the store who said the desk had been damaged on the store room floor. I wrote Terry Bowerstock a letter and called the corporate office numerous times. No answer. Basically, their form of customer service is to ignore you and hope you go away. Meanwhile, I am out a $1,500 desk and Terry's charity gets this valuable item for free. I call that stealing. She calls it "a good deal". 

I copied this from her web site http://www.shopterris.com/terris-home-store -- "Mom says it's not a good deal unless when you get home you can play the game."  I would replace the word "game" with "SCAM". Terry Bowerstock is running a scam and worse she is giving the impression that her company is a goodwill ambassador to charitable groups. I would avoid her consignment stores if you value your merchandise.
