Do not do business with Universal Timeshare!  They are not a licensed reseller!  Only companies which are licensed to transact the mortgage on your timeshare can act as a reseller.  In a legitimate timeshare mortgage transaction, no funds are exchanged until escrow closes.

Universal never actually sells your timeshare!
They claim to have a buyer lined up, ask for $1,800 to represent you in this sale, but the transaction never happens.

Their purported buyer is reportedly going to pay you 3x what you paid for that timeshare - in this depressed market, where no one wants to buy a timeshare!!

Universal phoned my mom and told her they had a buyer lined up to purchase her Wyndham timeshare for $27,000, they just needed to collect the $1,800 up front in order to begin the process.
They provided the following false information, as they're not licensed in their State of Oregon to conduct this business:

sales license: 18545412
business license:  1841794

Their physical address of 14525 SW Millikan Way, Suite 17820, Beaverton, OR 97005 - is a loading dock.  Go ahead and Google-map it and click on street view to see the closed loading dock door.

Once they have your credit card information, you will never be able to get anyone on the phone again when you try to reach them.
For your entertainment, here are names of some of their "employees" - these names are obviously fabricated:
Michael Taylor is the customer service rep who tries to sell you
Carmen Riva is the verification officer
Eddy Miller is the customer service rep who can help you at ext 143 with questions - just try to see if you can actually get any of these people on the phone.  It will not happen because once they have your money, they do not ever want to speak with you.

I have filed a complaint with the FTC against this company, and I see there are many others.  I have contacted the FTC to urge them to immediately begin an investigation of this scam!

Universal Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: IsabellaP - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 13, 2013

The resale of a timeshare is a legitimate business. Companies agree to advertise a timeshare for a fee on their websites. As with advertising, the membership doesnt need to sell in order the fees to be legitimate. The difference between an honest timeshare resale company and a scam, is when the company falsely suggest they have a buyer waiting for their timeshare, or picture unrealistic, overoptimistic selling possibilities. I know a company called Mexican Timeshare Solutions that can give you a free consultation on your matter, this is their website:
