wiltrans talks down to you and demeanining not who they say they are strafford Missouri

First off i will clearify what happened to me and why i do not work for this company anymore.  I was fired because I had 2 preventable accidents at night which i am terrible at night driving or working at night. that is why i do not work for them anymore.

  So now let me tell you about my terribe experiance with this company.  If you have any interest in being an owner operator DO NOT WORK HERE!!!!!!!!!!  Their program is not designed for owner operators.  If you have any smarts or any logic as to how the trucking industry works they will treat you like an idiot and talk down to you like your a brand new driver ad you have no clue whats going on.  I told them before they hired me that I will not go to New York or California. Chris my recruiter, and Jeff Thomas my "fleet manager" said oh thats where our netowrk is and you will make so much money if you go to New York.  They told me about there program and Chris begged me to buy a truck from them.  I just had to check it out.  Buying a brand new truck and still gross $4500 a week.  I had to try this out.  I thought "to good to be true".  OKay i said i will give this a try and do new york..after my first month i told jeff i do not want new york anymore, do not send me to new york.  he said ...ok, your sure about this....I said, yes.  so okay the next week was good i didnt go to new york and grossed better than i would have going to new york and did the week after that.  then of course bad weather came and i stayed down south to stay out of the snow and bad weather.  i wanted to stay at the center of the nation where frieght transfers from coast to coast.  they ripped my pay and my time.  if you have a certin location you do not want to travel they will cry like babies.  they tried to put on my dac report that i got stuck in ice over my 10hr break.........because i had to call a tow truck to pull me out of the ice so i can move....  how is that terms for you talking to me about anything when its MY TRUCK!!!!!!!! then i did a legal turn around and because this guy did not have his yard properly marked so he called the company and yelled about it they got mad.  These guys do not protect drivers at all.  All the office personal stick together and talk down to you.  Mike T. the saftey director is the biggest joke in the office.He will try to talk to you and tell you about saftey and how things work but he himself has never stepped into a truck or another yard.  There is a good reason that they have only 200 drivers in ther fleet, they are very picky yes about who they hire and then the smart ones dont stick around.

 If you are an owner operator and love your freedom, do not bring your truck to this location.  The "fleet managers" here tell you how to run your operation then cry when you wont do it their way.  Also when I called darrell the owner and tried to talk to him about buying his truck from him, he got SO MAD at me got extremely defensive and told me i didnt know what i was talking bout and i didnt know what i was doing.  But he wouldnt listen that i didnt like paying him for his truck and i didnt believe he was worth paying that kind of money to him for his truck.  I wanted to make my expenses cheaper and i could if he would sell me hins truck.  Needless to say he didnt.  IN other words being an owner operator here is the same thing as being a company driver but at the same time just buying a brand new truck which you truely can not afford and the the gross earnings are a lie.  The only drivers who make this kind of money are the ones who get feed loads and act like company employees.  This is NOT A TRUE OWNER OPERATOR PROGRAM!!!!!!  They Pull Prime freight and dump them the left overs.  BTW WHEN YOU ARE DONE PAYING FOR YOUR TRUCK YOU WOULD HAVE PAYED DARRELL (WILTRANS) $250,000 FOR THAT TRUCK(worth only $160,000).  This company is in the leasing business and only out to make money for selling you a truck.  they have no means of you actually making money as long as they "get theirs"  they are happy, whatever is left over is yours and good luck with that.

 I am glad i had the last preventable.  I was struggling alot with trying to make this work and talk to jeff and tell him how he needed to run me.   Again hey have no interest in you or your business personality.  Jeff cursed at me, yelled at me and tried to make me feel like an idiot because i wanted to run MY business the way I wanted to run MY business.

Chris the recruiter is very good at what he does. He got me and all my friends were very suprised that i even went that route. Now that I am gone i am too.  Go somewhere else  i promise you your not missing out on anything.................
