Several weeks ago I purchased a swoopo clone from www.scriptzstore.com . After they installed it, I found out that the payment gateway for paypal was missing, and there were a few other noticeable problems. I got not support response from my the tickets I sent to support. I finally sent them an e-mail telling them their support stunk, and that the script was not complete since it advertised a pay pal payment gateway and did not have one. I asked for a refund, and low and behold they responded to that e-mail in 15 minutes, they called me a jerk and told me no refund. I e-mailed them back and said i would just cancel my credit card and they threatened me with the police for charge back fraud ) I tried another contact avenue and ended up with www.discountclones.com . It turned out the 1st company was a reseller for the 2ND. after a long argument on their chat line, they agreed to fix the problem saying they did not supply support for their resellers even though the product they were selling was theirs. As the chat went on, they talked me into a more advanced version of the 1st penny auction script with the promise of full and immediate support ( and a promise they would discuss how their reseller handled customers)

 

we the nightmare now really begins. I had the script installed on Davids server ( a shared server with plenty of room ) the script had problems and they said it was because of the server( David firmly did not agree and said something wasn't right) I acted foolish and listened to Josh who was acting very friendly. I next transferred the script to a dedicated server with  ( ray ) meeting all the pre-requisites that Josh asked for  as to the server.  for a day or so the server and script worked fine there were a few bugs, but josh worked them out. I began loading products into the site, setting them up for auction and setting the bid butler. I also spent several thousand dollars on targeted advertising. that when the poop hit the fan, the timers shut down ( just as they had with David ) but now this was a dedicated server meeting all the requirements and more. Josh said it was the server that it was probably not really a dedicated server but something else and so he kept having to restart the timers over and over and more and more bugs started to make their appearance.  each one resulted in my having to send an e-mail or start a ticket. Josh continued to blame it on the tech Ray and asked me to let him put the script on his server to prove his point. he said he would give me one months free hosting for my trouble. I said OK and they reinstalled a complete new version of the script. for several days the script ran fine( I did not have access to the cpanel so i could not list products,set auctions etc yet) after i saw the site was running fine I asked for the passwords to the panel and the server, now Josh send me a bill for the server that was supposed to be free for the 1st month) I have it in writing .( I was paying for it so I should have had those things) once I got the admin info, I started listing products,adding auctions and kicked on the bid butler. additionally I began my advertising campaign sending loads of targeted visitors to the site ) that's when ray call me and says the timers are off, and then a little while later the site is down. i emailed Josh and after a few hrs he said I know once I gave you the admin info and access to the server this would happen. you take two steps forward and five backwards and we are tired of dealing with you. We are shutting the server down and will give you a refund. Josh claimed that since the script ran fine for three days he proved that his script was fine and that this time Ray screwed with the server and messed it up on purpose( he called it hacking into the server ). we reinstalled the script onto our dedicated server and started all over again and once again all was working fine till we loaded products,set up auctions and kicked on the bid butler and let the targeted visitor campaign go on again. within hrs the timers went down,the server crashed, etc.  end result Josh again said ray was playing games trying to hurt my business or at the very least run up bills to take care of problems he created.

 

I tried to explain to Josh that his script seems to run fine when empty, with only several test auctions running on the site. but when the site is fully loaded and has a multitude of tasks to perform all heck breaks loose and the fact that it has happened three times exactly the same way under the same circumstances. he said ray was a moron didn't know what he was talking about and the I was a fraudster trying to get my money back. 1st I never requested a refund from anyone on the net before except his dubious questionable reseller who did the same thing) and asked the question whats in it for me, after speeding all that money advertising that broken penny auction site what did i gain by going around buying scripts and then asking for refunds. I am in the whole for five grand and can only hope to get a 700 dollar refund ???? I also let Josh know that Ray was my father, and so he was not charging me for his work, nor would he have any reason to screw up the site or script on purpose. he still said his script was great no refund go away.

Had this happened only once, I would not be so sure it was a faulty script. i spoke with several experts who all told me the same thing. it's not the server its the program and it is not designed to carry the load and falls apart when it is required to perform multitudes of tasks at the same time.

 

please do not fall for their scam... I am out thousands of dollars, been threatened with police action if I call my credit card company and cancel the charges, and been told my dad is moron who has tried to screw up my web site deliberately. And they sit there patting themselves on the back saying they have the best auction scripts on the Internet) they may very well have the best programs on the Internet as long as you only want them to perform any of their auction functions

 

a minute to minute update, they have now shut the admin panel down and pulled the licencee, so now they have my money,the script,the licencee Iand I have nothing.
