These crooks, John Walker and Dixie Davey Walker will be coming to Charlotte, NC, in January to look for new victims to prey upon. As earlier advised, DO NOT trust or use them. They have committed criminal fraud in Ecuador. There will be a blog set up soon to expose them as the crooks they are. They are unethical, liars, and scammers. Stay away from them at all cost!!!! As Dixie Davey Walker likes to say, "Get your facts right".

This is one of the posting made by Pronto on the Expat Exchange Network. Dixie Walker tried to have it deleted, but she cannot hide her complicity so easily. Everything is still available from Expat Exchange.  It is one of her news letters about the Ayampe scam. She is as guilty as John Walker in defrauding folks out of their money. She has removed all mention of Ayampe land and eco-living, as well as all the back issues of her news letters promoting Ayampe from her web site. . However they are all with us. We have copies and print outs of everything she has written to promote the scam to the innocent victims. The web site has everything to do with her husband. Photographs appeared of him and Dixie Walker showing the land to visiting potential victims, and much mention of John Walker doing business at Guyaquial and of them living in a beach hut near the development.

Do you Walkers think you are the only ones who can threaten legal action? and  regarding your claim that you can sue for loss of earnings, that is hot air.  That needs  to be substantiated by proof of the exact amounts you say you have lost. None of your partners have been mentioned by name so they cannot claim defamation of character. The 'legal' advise you claim to be getting is wrong.  You are full of hot air, your threats are invalid. In fact YOU are the criminals!  We have real attornies advising us, and your day in court will come, followed by a prison term and eviction from Ecuador. John Walker - you have told folks to "get out of Ecuador". Now its time for you to get out of Ecuador!  Yes you had better be looking over your shoulder to see the legal summons coming your way with the federales to arrest you. Live in fear of that!

John and Dixie Walker you are criminals!  No matter how much you protest your innocence, and claim your honest belief in your representations, you are still culpible.

YOU CANNOT PAINT YOURSELF INNOCENT!

John Walker will never do business in Ecuador again. You have been exposed as what you are.  LIARS - CHEATS - SCAMMERS - CROOKS - THIEFS.

Ayampe Update

Update on the Ayampe development as asked by so many of you who write in to me.

The Ayampe development is finally finally on the home stretch. Agreements with the land owner will be signed very soon, and we will start development. The first step is the soil testing and we will be having group meetings to gain consent on architectural style. Our commitment is to provide our average cost of construction, but if you want gold plated fittings, then you need to pay the extra.

As a result of some of the changes, we are going to sell another only two special lots that include FREE homes.

Our original offer was $65,000 for a 1,700 m2 lot and we would also start including FREE 300 m2 houses once we reached 50% of the development (1st in gets served first). That was before the sub-division titles were issued, so there was a lot more risk involved.

For various reasons (land owners prerogative) we now need to sell some more of these specials. There will be a substantial condo development, so this will subsidize the FREE homes.

However, the price has now gone up to $100,000 (for 1,700 m2) but we still supply the equivalent of a 300m2 house. Your house will be on a front lot, the second floor will look over a mangrove lagoon to the ocean. There are only TWO lots available for TWO LUCKY PEOPLE.

I am the owner and webmaster of Retire-in-Ecuador.com, not John Walker.

What has been written about me and my web site www.retire-in-ecuador.com on this website is defamatory and potentially very damaging, not only to me but also my Ecuadorian business partner.

The site has nothing to do with my husband. I have been advised that I can take action for defamation of character and loss of income.  I have never conned, scammed, lied or cheated anyone.  My site now has over 1,000 subscribers and I am happy to provide testimonials.

I write about many businesses on my web site and with newsletters. However, I cannot guarantee that the service or the ethics of the owners will be 100%. Many of the businesses advertise with me. One of them says he gets 80% of his internet hits just from my web site, even though he has his own site.

That was the same situation with Eco Ecuador Living. At the time of writing about it, I honestly believed that the project would proceed, and the land owner would honor his agreements with my husband and investors. It was not until quite recently that the beneficial land owner, Ruy Quevedo, backed out of the deal after receiving investor funds to get subdivision titles and promote the development concept. The titles were issued to him many months ago but he refused to proceed with the original agreement with John or the investors. I have recently been led to believe that Ruy is now prepared to compensate investors with land titles to at least the equivalent value of the funds invested. Lets hope that is the case.

I am very aware of what has been happening and I believe the author, Cedric,  of the report I am rebutting to should be specific in what he is saying.  After all, that is what the terms and conditions of this website says.

As I understand it, Cedric invested venture capital funds for the Ayampe project before anyone else with open eyes, and without legal advice or a request for security from the beneficial land owner.  In fact, I believe that he was even offered security by the land owner but Cedric did not proceed any further with this offer. I also have been told that his funds were used exactly as agreed in writing all for the benefit of Ruy Quevedos land and project. I have witnessed that Ruy co-signed that agreement with Cedric.  The agreement also stated that Cedric would get repaid his capital plus his venture capital return within 18 months of his first down payment.  Apparently that period ends in July this year. So how come Cedric is making so much noise and making threats against my husband when his funds are not even due yet?  If Ruy Quevedo honors his promise, then he will at least eventually get his money back. John will then be the biggest loser.

Cedric, get the facts correct.  Your wife sent through a disgusting threatening email to John.  I will not publish it in full unless requested but it ended with: "you had better be always looking over your shoulder".  If that and what you have written previously is not a threat, then what is? John's reply to you was "We have passed your email on to our lawyers. It sounds threatening to me, and we may consider some form of restraining order and a complaint to the police. That will not go down well for you residency."

When you are being threatened it is everyone's right to defend themselves.  These sorts of threats we do not have to put up with.

You are defaming my name and reputation and my website and other Ecuadorians who work with me.  I have been advised that I can personally take legal action against you for defamation of character and also loss of income.

As for what GS said at IL last year, well it seems to me he is also doing the same sort of promotion for a project just outside of Salinas, with a virtual copy of the Eco Ecuador Living funding structure, where he has advertised that you can have a free apartment for investing in a new pre-construction deal.  Does that not sound a little hypocritical!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who reads this rebuttal can certainly work with me and trust me whole heartedly.  Again I am happy to supply many testimonials and I have never had a complaint to my website as I always go over and above the call of duty to help my clients, as does my Ecuadorian partner.

As for Cedric's dealings with the Ayampe project, that has nothing to do with me and I certainly did not twist his arm to join the venture.  Like any other business, I advertise as I see it at the time.  What happens after that is out of my control and has nothing to do with me.
